Before opening North Hills Animal Hospital & Resort, our veterinarians worked together at our sister clinic Boulevard Animal Hospital. For many years, they provided the greater Raleigh area with the highest quality veterinary care and personal service. At North Hills Animal Hospital & Resort we are continuing that tradition of providing first rate care and five star resort services in a beautiful and relaxing setting.
Dr. Lora Evans grew up in Salisbury, NC where she attended West Rowan High School and graduated 1st in her class while enjoying all-conference success with the basketball and tennis team. She went on to major in zoology at UNC Chapel Hill where she played on the varsity tennis team. After graduating from veterinary school at NCSU, she became the veterinarian and owner of Boulevard Animal Hospital.
North Hills Animal Hospital and Resort, is a continuation of an animal hospital legacy started in 1945. On a country road named Western Boulevard, Dr. Ralph Williams started Williams Animal Hospital. Later he partnered with Dr. Earl Knox and changed the name of the facility to Boulevard Animal Hospital.

I have definitely noticed that the staff is quite friendly. More importantly, however, is the care your treasured pets will receive while in in their care. I take my three (against my better judgment, haha) cats here for their check ups, shots, etc. I trust this place and have yet to have a negative experience. One final thought. I don’t know the details of what happened (I.e.- where he went, WHY he left, why it happened so suddenly, etc.). But there used to be a vet there who no longer works there. He was the best veterinarian I’ve ever worked with.

Today I called to get my sweet pup a vaccine. Her regular vet was unable to see her today. They took care of my puppy without hesitation. The tech that came to the car was AMAZING and very patient with our dog. I was very pleased with the care and the staff.

We just moved to Raleigh and needed a vet urgently to look at our poor kitty who was having some digestive issues.
I called and was able to get an appointment the same day, and they took her right in for testing and to get her feeling better.
Dr. Blaire and all the vet techs were AH-MAZING.
They answered all of my questions and genuinely treated my cat like their own. They called and updated me as her treatment progressed, and gave my kitty the best care.
Their prices are beyond fair and they really do care for the well being of the animals above anything else.
We will never ever go anywhere

Dr.Blaire gave my girl Bella a head to toe work up & my dog has food allergies & even when I changed her food she developed a rash on her belly...she (Dr.B) gave me helpful options to help my sweet girl out & it worked rash gone & Bella ABSOLUTELY loves doggie daycare. She made lots of friends & loves kennel staff...see you guys soon

The vet we loved so much and felt loved our pet just the same, left about 2 years ago. Since then the vets there only seem to care about making you spend as much money as they can. Our senior dog has had bi-lateral ACL repairs and since developed severe arthritis. The vet refused to refill her pain meds unless we came in for a full work up each time, regardless of the fact we would be there again in a few months for her annual exam (which they end up charging us almost a thousand for each time). At this point we just need to keep her comfortable but that's not their priority.

The staff and facility are very very nice. They actually listened to what I said and did not rush me. They did not try to run a bunch of tests just to get our money (so many animal hospitals tend to do this). I called a few places and they were by far the most reasonable in price. Highly recommend this hospital and will go back if I ever have to.
