Our famous Bloody Mary hand-built with our house recipe. Garnished with celery, pickled green beans, olives, a dill pickle, lime, and even a piece of hot bacon. Gonzo is not just another pretty face. Equal parts chilled Jameson and Butterscotch Schnapps followed by an orange juice chaser and a bite of delicious candied bacon.

It is a bar, loud and busy! I know there are staffing shortages, bah, blah. . . . Only one waitress waiting 7 tables, the moscow mules were watered down, the fish tacos had no taste and was served with ranch??? Deviled eggs and jalapeno peppers were good. If you want a sit down experience this is not your place!

Subpar on just about every dimension. I walked in and didn't notice any signs stating it was a self seating restaurant. When I sat down I immediately noticed all the dead and live flies near the window and the disgustingly dirty fans. I only stayed because someone told me this was the best place to eat in town. The food was subpar and the service was pretty bad. The waitress didn't introduce herself, didn't give me any silverware and I had to flag her down after over 15 minutes after my food had been brought to me. I told the manager and she said sorry and gave me a three dollar

Food was good, service was awful. Went in during Wurstfest, it was around 10pm. My husband ordered me a beer from the bar (he doesn't drink). Bartender opened the can of beer which bubbles over onto the bar. Bartender then presented the bill, which he leaned down to sign and added a tip. We walked away to a table. Bartender then asks my friend if my husband "spit on her bar". Seriously? She literally accused the only very sober 6'3 very dark skinned Indian man who looked nothing like anyone else in the bar if he "spit" on her bar. Immediately coming to his defense

One of the best places to drink (and eat raw oysters) in wonderful downtown New Braunfels. They serve a breakfast shot (not for breakfast, but anytime!) It is Fantastic!! Tastes like bacon and eggs and then an after taste of pancakes and syrup-with a strong bite somewhere amongst it all, of course! Everyone should try it😃 Darts, plenty of room, plenty of patio, plenty of bar and plenty of fun😜

After reading reviews I had to try this place and make my own judgment. 1service was great! Friendly fast and got everything right as to what we asked. We ordered the Oysters- wonderful and fresh.. saw them getting shucked made us extra happy. Ordered crab dip.. new love. We love Macadoos but the Oyster bar held their own and then some! Hell yeah we will be coming back. Now on to dessert.. breakfast shot! Now that's a must!

Great Bloody Mary's, the food is really good, my hubby's and my brother in-laws had oysters on the half shell, sliders and salad. We had the Spanish artichoke dip and Crab Cakes, all were really yummy, we had a really fun times here, my inlaws ate here 2 days in a raw, they loved the food and the prices. Thank you to the Oyster Bar.

Out of a late meeting and needing to find something open, we stumbled upon this place.
Great waitress and enjoyed the food. Delicious spinach artichoke dip and crab dip.
Friend enjoyed the crab cakes. I enjoyed shrimp tacos. Don't think the chicken tenders were much to brag about. Spicy Margarita was a disappointment. All in all a good experience.

Why would they even call themselves the Oyster Bar? The oysters here are not fresh. You don't see them chuck them and if you know oysters you should know these are from a jug. A former bar tender cautioned me that the oysters were from a jug. They wash the shells in the dishwasher and reuse them. I should have believed him. If you want real oysters I highly recommend MacAdoos. Attached are photos of both places. You can see the difference. The oysters at the oyster bar were slime and not even attached to the shell, slid right off. Absolutely disappointing, disgusting and on top of that the

Food was delicious. The oysters were huuuuge! Oyster shooters were impeccable and made for a fun start to our night. The service was great. Servers and bartenders did perfect. My husband and I can't wait to come back we had so much fun. Food and drinks were on point! Prices are reasonable and the bar had a relaxed cool vibe. They have the best deviled eggs I have ever tried! :)

First time to stop in after always driving by and saying “we need to check that place out”....downside is we came in later at night and they were down to literally only 4 oysters.....upside is they made us 4 oyster shots!! We just did apps with the bacon wrapped jalapeños and we also ordered wings and blue crab dip. All of it was tasty and just hit the spot!! The cold beers and Bloody Mary were on point!! The service was excellent!! Lexi was our server and was honest and friendly.
Will definitely be back to try the fresh shucked oysters!!! Y’all need to give them a shot if you haven’t

Super keto friendly even with a limited menu. Great service, and didn't have to wait too long! I got the ahi tuna, bacon wrapped jalepeños, and a side house salad and all of it was AMAZING! For a small in town bar/restaurant this place definitely exceed my expectations. There's an arcade I believe that's 21+ but will check that out next time!

But wait, there's more! Came here because the bar disguised as a pizza joint next door wasn't open for lunch. So we came to a bar advertised as a bar, that served a great lunch. Wow, that was a pleasant surprise.
Definitely had the old town bar style down. I felt like I was coming into Cheers but with less space. In fact, I should come more often and tell them my name is Norm for the proper greeting whenever I come for lunch.
