Services
I grew up in the northern suburbs of Chicago. Since 4th grade career day, I knew that I wanted to be a dentist. I received my undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois, and then headed to the University of Michigan for dental school. After dental school, I spent the next two years at Harvard University Children's Hospital of Boston as a resident specializing in pediatric dentistry.
At Valleau, VanDeven, and Massie Dentistry for Children, we combine professional expertise with a kind, compassionate, and gentle approach to treating your child. After all, going to the dentist doesn't have to be a scary experience and it doesn't have to be just about dental cleanings and cavities.
Flu season is back so of course I got sick. Finding a health center that doesn't charge an obscene amount of money to be seen is always a struggle. It was the closest, same-day appointment center I found on Yelp. They take several types of insurance, including mine which only charged a $10 copay. They even have their own app where you fill out your symptoms and payment information right there.
Here at Valleau, VanDeven, and Massie Dentistry for Children we have invested in the most up-to-date technology and equipment to make your child's visit with us safe, comfortable and efficient. Dental radiographs are arguably one of the most useful diagnostic tools for a dental clinician. Dental radiographs can help your dentist identify diseases and developmental problems before they become serious health issues.
One of the most important appointments you can make for your child is the first dental visit! At Valleau, VanDeven, and Massie Dentistry for Children, our objective is to help your child develop a positive attitude towards dentistry and oral health care that lasts a lifetime. The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry along with the Academy of Pediatrics encourage parents and caregivers to establish a dental home by a child's first birthday.

Amazed with how great our first experience was with this office! A scary injury to my toddler’s mouth had me feeling terrified what he was going to need. They got us right in for an appointment an hour after I called and formed a plan to monitor/fix his injury. Dr. Massie and her staff were nothing short of amazing. Thank you for your kind service and for taking great care of my son. Would highly recommend !

LOVE this office! They are so patient with my very active 6yr old! He gets a token coin to exchange for trinkets every time he has to be brave (ie, sitting still for X-rays, tooth cleaning, or cavity filling, etc). He actually looks forward to going to the dentist, which is a huge feat! The entire staff is so kind and gentle! Couldn’t ask for a better office!

We were originally referred by another family years ago. My son started visiting when he was 2 years old to get familiar with the office :) we have always had wonderful experiences ! As far as this being a “kids dentist” - everyone has always been incredibly kind and patient over the 6 years that we have been visiting! Great place for kids to feel comfortable!
