The HIIT classes aren't nearly as 'intense' as other gyms I've been to and they are nearly impossible to get into. You are immediately placed on a waiting list and have to constantly check back.
I was 10 minutes late to a midday class and was almost asked to leave by the 'trainer'. He didn't welcome me and instead just said that I needed to be on time and had to warm up on the treadmill first. The class was lifting light weights and I used that exercise as my warm up.
After class he said again that I had to be on time and that warming up isn't a suggestion

I have been a member here for 4 years now and I continue to be so happy about it! The classes and teachers are excellent. I feel like I have learned so much about proper form and different types of exercise. There always seems to be something to meet whatever it is I am in the mood for whether it is gentle yoga and meditation or getting super sweaty. The people who work here are awesome - friendly, helpful and responsive. I also value their contributions to the community - they always have a barrel for the food bank, charitable options at the holidays, and they donate for local fundraisers. It

Be very careful with the cancellation policy and terms hidden in the fine print on the contract you sign to join this gym. Long story short, my credit card information got stolen a few months ago and instead of updating my card information. I stopped going; life got in the way. There's an access card you use to get in the building and swipe entry into the gym. They have record that I haven't been in months.
It was totally my fault for not staying on top of one of the many moving parts in my life. I ended up with a $100 balance on my account that I have to pay before I can technically “cancel”

The only disappointment I've had with this gym is the fact that we're moving away and I have to say goodbye. There is a lot that I love about this place: the 24hr access is awesome, the equipment is well maintained and plentiful, and the staff is friendly and was never once pushy with us. The most important thing for me, however, is the absence of your classic "gym bro" vibe. The management appears to value every body equally, there isn't a focus on aggressive or "manly" training, and a huge pool of qualified and capable women dominate the training and staffing

The gym is fine..it has all the cardio equipment one needs for a good workout. It's the management staff that needs improvement. The main gal at the front desk...she was extremely friendly when my friend and I signed up for the 2 weeks trial. Yet the minute we told her we will check out other nearby clubs before we make final decision, she completely changed attitude. Gave us a total cold shoulder after that short exchange. No greetings when we enter or leave the gym. No eye contact. She acted as though we were homeless entering her building and she couldn't shoo us out. Talking

Love the feel of this place. It may seem imposing upon first entry, but that all seems to subside once you're really inside. I found this place when Tula Bakery was on the ground floor and I entered through the building.
The front desk folks have always been friendly and so one day I asked if they had massage therapists in the place. Why, yes, of course, they do. Offered two different cards with info, I selected Namaste Rae. She's delightful and has the perfect vibes for me. It seems she has a set schedule and she's quite busy, so call ahead for your day and time. I believe she offers several

I've never been one who enjoys working out and avoided gyms / exercise for a very long time. But you get to a point where you're tired of getting winded from walking up a flight of stairs... Going into this completely new was intimidating, but I took the plunge and signed up with Jared for some personal training sessions.
Best decision ever! I'm now doing small group class with Jared and I can feel myself improving every session. I've never felt anything but support and encouragement from staff and other members, and I highly recommend small group classes regardless of skill

I used to be a member at MeFitness until they took a business decision that showed how much they don't really care about their clients.
They used to offer a class called Gravity Pilates. But because of its popularity, they removed it from their "unlimited" membership plan and now, if you are a member and want to take that class, you need to pay a monthly fee or drop-in for $15 each class.
What does it mean? It means that, instead of being loyal to their members and keeping us happy, they cared more about the extra money they could make.
Could they have taken a different step? Sure

I've been training for 3 years now in Minnesota and Oregon. Me Fitness Studios has been the best experience in my training experience. Compared to other gyms in Portland, Me Fitness is the cleanest and best ran. It is open 24 hours a day and has easy access to whatever you need. The staff doesn't try to "hard sell" you on gym gimmicks that you'll run into at many other gyms.
I've been coming here for 6 months now, and Me Fitness continues to shine above the other gyms in Portland. It is great for novices, intermediate, and advanced trainers. Want a welcoming environment to get adjusted to gym

My experience with MeFitness was both equal parts fantastic and equal parts terrible.
The good:
Gym/locker rooms are always clean, the equipment always works, the classes are great, and the trainers are killer. In addition, the clientele are normal people, like myself, just trying to get a work out in.
The bad:
Since deciding to end my contract, I have found that the $65 a month for an unlimited membership doesn't appear to be competitive with the other gyms in the area. In addition, the couple/family rate was also not value for money. Unfortunately, MeFitness also requires the new member

If you're looking for a spa/gym experience with fancy locker rooms, juice bars, or even TVs on the cardio equipment, Me Fitness is not the place for you. its pretty bare bones with minimal cardio equipment, decent weights and a large area for stretching and free weights. For the price we pay I'm not complaining. In SF we paid $90 a month for climbing walls, racquetball courts, a roof top pool with a view of the city. It was pretty sweet I must say, but spendy nonetheless.
MeFitness is a fraction of that cost with a lovely view of a empty grass lot. Once again- not complaining but don

Full Disclosure: I have not yet visited this gym, but wanted to give a review on my experience via the phone. The girl I spoke with was plenty friendly, but I am very put off by their pricing and policies.
Being a former member of 24-hour fitness, where I had a $40/month membership with no contract or signup fees... I was very disappointed in Me Fitness' pricing:
-$79 sign-up fee
-$40/month and you are *required* to sign a 12-month contact, no exceptions
-(or $69/month with no contract and still with the $79 sign-up fee).
I asked if they did any price matching - nope!
Alas, despite

As of late I've been using the gym mostly for classes and at this point I have tried most of what they have to offer. They instructors of the classes are wonderful. The not wonderful part? Capacity. Today I did a whole class in fear of getting kicking in the head. I was so worried about accidentally kicking someone or swatting my neighbor with my arm that I couldn't concentrate on my form or getting in a solid work out. Looking around I got the sense this was unanimous amongst participants. Classes cater to 9-5ers. Adding some varied class times would help with the capacity issues. Having
