Workers' compensation is designed to protect Ohio workers and help control the cost of doing business in Ohio. By keeping the cost of doing business down, businesses bring more jobs to Ohio, more money is pumped into the economy and all of Ohio wins. At some point in your worker's compensation claim, you are bound to hear the term "pain and suffering."
Unfortunately, this term is often misunderstood and often vilified in the minds of many. When people refer to "pain and suffering" what they really mean is "permanent partial disability" benefits- at least when it comes to worker's compensation.

The hearings officers are rude and only help the employers ...not the injured worker...my last hearing the hearing officer yelled at me and the other injured worker appearing before me only took into account what the employers attorney presented..nothing my lawyer presented...had to have a Dr. Visit by virtual visit do to pandemic..the hearing officer said it wasn't credible...and that I only apply for 1 job a day..and only online...how else do you apply for employment now days?

Been waiting 7 months to be released funds that are " on hold" for a date to be determined on an "allow" claim for injury. Everytime I call I get the run around saying a random date and when that date comes nothing happens. They have all the information they need and have been telling me that the will send me a check for 7 months now but yet still no progress has been made.

Thank you for the complimentary face masks sent to our company to protect our workers! I want to let you know that fraud may exist within the face mask program. I'm a subscriber to Wood County On-Line Sale on Facebook and Melissa Miller was selling face masks for $1.50 ea. that looked just like those supplied by Workers Comp. Melissa let potential buyers know she had 200 to sell. The posting appeared on Wednesday, July 15, 2020. Melissa had several buyers asking to purchase her stock until a few other subscribers (me included) commented the masks looked identical (picture of masks accompanied her

I was hurt on the job in 2016. My injury was from my employers customers who illegally trespassed on to their property and assaulted me severely to where I had to get surgery. This injury and crime was caught on my employers work cameras and the employer attorney decided to fight the injury in Ohio Industrial hearing in stated that the employee did not have sufficient evidence about the injury again although it was caught on their video tapes. The workers compensation specialist who has no experience knows that the employer is illegally getting away with 2yrs of not paying me with workers compensation
