( Dream ) Breakfast review. Chef was on fire making special order veggie-omelet-no-cheese to perfection. Avó toast, fruit & oatmeal were a little extra yum. Teresa hustled for my peculiar oat milk -half-caff coffee order. Thank you Teresa for helping us get back on schedule, too. IF I LIVED IN MEMPHO - I would totally check out this chef. Just passing through. 🦋

We visited Bleu Restaurant & Lounge prior to attending another event. Upon arrival we were greeted by friendly staff who encouraged seating in the bar area due to increased traffic for an event. We were able to find an open table relatively fast. Rick greeted us and shared of his experience of meeting Wendy Williams and seeing Celine Dions tour bus. Rick assured us that he would be able to get us served quickly and would be right back with water. 20 minutes passed and Rick NEVER came back. He was seen tending to other guests, wiping tables and chatting and laughing with other employees and guest

Meh...at best. First we ordered a bottle of wine. That's on the list. And after looking for about 7 minutes, the wine doesn't exist in the restaurant. Okay.
I had the chicken wings. Honey Siracha. That's what was recommended.
I love chicken wings. Since moving to Memphis, I love this Honey Gold concept for wings. So this seemed to be right up its alley. Well...it wasn't. Far from it. The wings were fried. No seasoning. Then kinda dipped in a honey sauce.
The chicken fell flat after I bit into it. And there was no heat. At all. The siracha must've been old or something

I ordered filet mignon. It was overcooked but it took us almost an hour to get it so I ate it. Overpriced for what I got. I probably had 1/4 cup of potatoes, 4 asparagus and 1 small carrot stick. The waitress was sweet. Not sure I’d go back.
The place was nice and clean. You can wear jeans or a dress and feel comfortable there. It looks like a nice restaurant.

We were staying in the hotel. My wife had two small plates, the chicken pot pie and the beet salad. Both were delicious. I had the salmon and risotto entree, it was so- so. It seemed like both had been cooked some time earlier and reheated in a microwave, the temperature was uneven, with hot and cold spots and the salmon was over cooked and dry. The risotto was very tasty, but with hot and cold spots.
The service was excellent. The drinks are over priced.
If I tried Bleu again, I would probably stick to the steaks.

The idea is that Bleu is "world class meals at a neighborhood price". I would say that those are both slightly incorrect. The foods just a little too normal for "world class" and it's way to expensive to be "neighborhood prices". The foods tastes pretty good, albeit, small portions don't make me feel better about the prices. Also I can say I've never had great service here. It's always very direct, blunt, and to the point. It's a nice place to try out once, but it's not for everyone.

I'll cut to the chase, and confirm the food was DELICIOUS. We were a party of 4 and all had different entrees and shared a couple of appetizers, and we were all blown away by our choices.
Now, the most important part - our server, Shannon. Oh my God she was incredible. After we left the restaurant, we all agreed she was the best server we've ever had - period. She provided the best recommendations and dropped the funniest one-liners during all of our interactions. She. Was. Brilliant. I honestly think if our food had been bad, we wouldn't have cared because she provided the best

I went in on a regular day and I had the pleasure of getting Daisy as my waitress. She was so nice and so knowledgeable of the menu. She recommended the blackberry salad as an appetizer and the salmon as my meal and I couldn't be happier. The food was awesome and I will be coming back. Daisy was charming, funny, and an overall great server. Please keep her around. Thank you so much. The cous cous was to die for.

This was me and my wife first time going and we loved it! The place is very elegant with a great view, staff and menu! She had the wings and I had the French chicken breast, DELICIOUS! When we left the manager stopped us, thank us, and asked about our experience, and I told her like I m telling yall, this is now one of our favorite go to spots for date night!

I dined and/or drank here four times during my stay in Memphis. So needless to say, I liked it!
Bleu is a big restaurant with a lot of space. Note that servers tend to rotate between the bar, kitchen and dining room so it's not always super easy to find them depending on the time of day. However, the servers are very nice and friendly. They gave me a lot of Memphis pointers, which I appreciated.
What I can't figure out is that this space is very large but Bleu was never even a 10th full. It's so strange since the location is so close to Beale Street and there's so many tourists

I was at bleu on 11/10/2018 and the waitress did not want to serve my table.She was serving other tables around my table. I tried to get her attention, and she ignored us. I finally walked up to her for a menu and she pointed to where I can pick up a menu for myself. She told me they were not serving people, but she continued to serve other peolep. I have a video of her continuing to serve and take orders around us...

We visited Bleu during downtown dining week because we had never been there. Won't need to go back. While the food was ok, the service was terrible. The menu was a set 3 course meal with soup or salad, creole catfish and bread pudding. Our entree was brought out before the salad. After we had finished salad and entree, we waited 30 minutes for the dessert, constantly being told it would be right out. Never got refills on drinks. Very frustrating experience.

Thought this place was okay. Nothing to run to but serves the purpose. Some staff friendly some not so friendly. Breakfast was good. Bacon & eggs no rocket science. Pancakes served with frozen butter. Also had a Cesar salad with steak which was also good. Salad crisp/steak well seasoned. Open till 11pm.

This restaurant is maybe the main reason why I'd go back and stay at the Westin. Sierra was super sweet and a great mixologist and Chris made running the place look easy. Thanks you two for making me and my fiancée feel super special.
My family wants me to make GrizzBombs at the next family cookout and I'm gonna figure out how to get my lollipop sauce close to Bleu's. Everything was great.

Sooooo, while the food was okay and looked delicious, the main reason I'm only giving them 1 star is because after our food came out we were inundated with fruit flies or something flying around and even after moving the bugs followed us. The manager said it was because the season had changed which might be the case but that's why you hire pest control to treat the damn bugs. The waiter was nice but unfortunately I won't be back and can't recommend this to my friends.

This was a stop on the walking food tour. We essentially experienced all of the aspects of the restaurant experience though. We were greeted and seated by the woman at the front. She was very friendly and gracious as she seated us at our table.
The restaurant is located in the Westin Hotel in Downtown Memphis. After being seated she poured water for all 11 of us.
Our entree was blackened catfish- served on mashed potatoes with green beans on top. The catfish was cooked perfectly. The flavor of the seasoning was really nice. It had that perfect "blackened" flavor, but not too spicy

Well it was Friday night and my hubby and I had a sitter - (yay!) I booked reservations via OpenTable just in case the restaurant was busy after all is was Friday night!
After confirming the time on OpenTable- I immediately told hubby we're all set - Arriving at Bleu Westin Hotel - (ok so for those that do not know that Bleu restaurant is located inside the Westin Hotel)

Food was very very good! Waitstaff was knowledgeable and accommodating! (Ordered the Bleu Burger $12 ) The bun is off by my choice, it came on the bun... I'm on a high protein low carb diet (shhhhh don't tell anyone I ate the fries 😆) which were very good, in a correctly portioned amount

The best chicken soup I have had in Memphis...or ever, really. AND it can cure a mean hangover, but you didn't hear that from me.
I recently popped by to check out their new lunch menu (served 11-4 every day), and was blown away. Course after course of pure deliciousness...all in the heart of downtown with a delightfully upscale atmosphere (and you know I prefer and appreciate the finer things in life).
Another perk? The valet. My stilettos are a minimum of 5 inches tall (at all times) and walking can be difficult
