Hello, my name is Neil Gates. I am a professional family photographer, and capturing special moments of your family and children is what I am passionate about. Having a family of my own, I can express first hand just how meaningful those portraits are of my children and family. In fact, they are priceless.
First of all, let's address the potential elephant in the room! Yes, I know people have been asked to stay home. My understanding is that there is no ban on going for a walk or bike ride with your family. I am completely aware that some folks might not agree with taking your family to a park for a portrait.
I hope you did think about it, because the answer should help you decide who you hire to create your wedding photographs. If your answer had words and phrases like "to have fun", "to have a day that I'll never forget", "to soak up everything that's going on around me" or "to enjoy spending time with family and friends", then you and I might be on the same page.
I love photographing Mitzvahs! It is amazing to see what these young folks can do when they put their minds to it. I mean, reading and chanting Hebrew with everyone watching you! Becoming a Bar or Bat Mitzvah is such an important time to each child; you can tell by their confidence (and the huge grin they have all day long!)
Family Portraits Ask most people when the last time they had a family portrait created, and you'll get a a pretty consistent answer - years ago! The national average of how many family portraits a single family has taken over their lives is less than 2! That's crazy! A good family portrait can stand the test of time, give enjoyment for many years, and has an experience that went along with it.
