As a parent of a young man with special needs and learning differences, I know the journey can be overwhelming and confusing; finding real support can be daunting. At times, one can feel very alone. I remember asking for help and support as a parent, and being told to "go online because there is so much help out there!"
I did-many times-only to feel like a tiny fish in a vast sea looking for someone who could relate and take the time to listen. Well-meaning friends and family often over-looked my feelings and fears trying to make me feel better or looked at my son and me with pity which frustrated us both.

Services
In addition to private practice, I am a trauma recovery counselor for a non-profit organization in the city of Seattle. I have a passion for working with women who are starting over in life, coming out of addiction, abuse, and homelessness; I have had the privilege of working with and learning from incredible women through this unique opportunity.
Although I do not accept insurance currently, I am happy to provide a bill detailing care to allow reimbursement of part or all of counseling fees from insurance companies. Not all clients receive reimbursement. Reimbursement of the full fee is infrequent. Your HSA funds may also cover your counseling costs.
