Services
In 1985, Dr. Marty Davis purchased the practice from Dr. Richard Freund who was retiring. Dr. Marjorie Widay, who had been an associate veterinarian since 1995, became a partner in the ownership of the practice in 2004. Each doctor brings the best veterinary medicine has to offer to the practice. More importantly, they exemplify compassion and commitment to our patients and their owners.
Monroe Road Animal Hospital will attempt to accommodate scheduling requests to the best of our ability. We also take walk ins on a work in basis. Emergencies are taken on a priority basis. If you feel you have an emergency, please call us or come in immediately. If possible it is best to call before coming in so that our staff can prepare and advise you on your particular emergency.
At Monroe Road Animal Hospital, we strive to provide high quality veterinary care as well as a great customer service experience in a modern facility. Your pets comfort is a top priority for our staff. If your pet is in for an annual check-up, you can expect a complete hands on, head to tail physical exam.
Payment is expected when services are rendered. In order to focus on our patients needs and customer service, we do not bill or offer private payment plans. Monroe Road Animal Hospital offers a Senior Citizen Discount for our clients over 65 years of age, as well as a Military Discount for our active military clients.
At Monroe Road Animal Hospital we support the practice of preventative medicine. As part of this philosophy we recommend annual lab work for all patients. This lab work provides an important baseline for organ system function in the event or illness. Knowing that normal function in various organ systems exists can be very useful in the event of a problem or illness.

Many of our neighbors recommend this clinic. When we found out our favorite vet had moved there, we followed. We're not disappointed. The whole team is extremely nice and caring. The building is not shiny or fancy, it's been around a long time.. But it's the people that make it a great vet clinic.
The only suggestion is from our cat Georgie. She thinks they need a bird feeder out side the exam room window. As you can see, she's not that excited about watching traffic on Monroe.

In sept took pup to MRAH. Bulging disc and HW pos was diagnosis. Doc gave meds for both and said if no improvement call. Several calls over 7 weeks NEVER returned. Took her in for HW shot and told them , PLEASE address the no progress disc issue while here. Got a call saying they could not start the HW treatment because disc was never addressed. SERIOUSLY??? Then spoke to owner/ doc Davis about no returned calls and unaddressed disc. She said she would personally address it. Then gave me her email address and told me to deal with her only for rest of treatment. Several emails later with NO response

Persephone is amazing! She helped me tremendously today when I called in to inquire about an appointment for my pitbull. She offered me outstanding customer service and while I have not yet scheduled my appointment for my dog to be seen (not sure exactly what my dog needs yet), I will definitely be coming here at some point in the future with my dogs due to Persephone's customer service. I can tell she cares about her customers! Thank you, Persephone!

Monroe Road was referred to us by a neighbor and we are extremely pleased with the care they provide. Everyone we have interacted with is compassionate and makes us feel at ease. We have several cats and also take care of outdoor/ferals. When we have had an emergency, even for a cat they have never seen, they have been there for us.

Everyone was very helpful and kind. From the receptionist to the very kind lady who took my kitties in and out of the clinic, everyone was outstanding and made my cats feel very comfortable. This was our first time visiting, and it was super short notice, and Monroe Road Animal Hospital really went out of their way to accommodate odate us.

I love this place, and we had a great visit. The vet and techs are awesome and make me feel at ease. Everyone is so friendly and you can tell they love what they do. Such an awesome atmosphere. It was also easy to set up an appointment on the app.
The lady that did the follow up call was also amazing.
