We are a photography team and a married couple - it's a good thing we get along, otherwise we'd be sick of each other by now! We had a wonderful experience with Matt and Jess and now have lovely pictures to show for it! As people who aren't comfortable in front of the camera we were a little shy and hesitant at first but they made us feel so comfortable!
They were professional and fun, looking for the best shots as the sun set and making us laugh so we felt natural and at ease! There's no need to stress during a photo session - you can relax and have fun, we'll do the rest!.

After our wedding in 2017 (best day ever!) we discovered what photography can really mean to someone. When the most precious moments of your life are thoughtfully captured, those photos become a lifelong treasure. Inspired by our experience, we moved from Los Angeles to New Mexico and turned our photography hobby into our full-time job!

Jess and Matt are so kind and amazing to work with! And we absolutely love how our engagement photographs came out. All of our pictures are so lovely and capture us and our time in NM perfectly. They put so much time and care into the entire process of working together. It is evident how thoughtful they are in their approach and work from start to finish. They went above and beyond in helping us choose a location, being available for last minute attire recommendations, curating the perfect playlist, hearing our inspiration, and making us feel at ease during the shoot. Wow! I have had photos done of me many times and I always dread it. Now after my first photo session with Counterpart Creative they are officially the only people I'll ever shoot with again. I was so at ease the entire time and my photos are amazing! I honestly can't wait to shoot again.

Jess and Matt did a family photo shoot near Santa Fe for my family recently. They were AMAZING to work with and so sweet! I really wanted photos in a hard-to-reach canyon location and they were totally game to hike up there with us. Their communication beforehand was extremely professional and they offered a lot of help in figuring out a location and poses and making us feel comfortable. The photos turned out phenomenal and we will certainly cherish them forever! Thanks Jess and Matt!

Instantly, when we arrived at our appointment we felt the warm and inviting energy of Matt and Jess. We have never done a couples photo shoot, they knew that and took the reigns. They had tons of ideas. They were open, easy going and above all: funny. It was a really enjoyable experience. I’m not sure how you could get the same value from another photographer team. The price was insane. The professionalism was off the charts and in the end, we love our photos. Thank you, Counterpart Creative! You have made our fifth anniversary very special. Matt & Jess are just about the nicest people you will ever meet. They even helped us out by bringing a beautiful bouquet of flowers for our photo shoot! They played our favorite kind of music during the session and were extremely kind and positive the whole time. Our sunset photo shoot ended up getting cut short due to some unexpected weather but they offered to get some nice sunrise photos for us the next morning to make up for it. The photos they took were incredible and overall, I am extremely happy we chose them as our photographers!

Absolutely loved our experience working with Jess and Matt at Counterpart Creative! They were so friendly and dedicated to making our photo shoot everything we dreamed of!
