D & R Car Care is a full-service auto repair establishment. We handle domestic, Asian, and European vehicles. Since that time, Don has retired and Ray has become the sole proprietor. At D & R Car Care, we take pride in providing quality auto repair and tires for nearly every vehicle, every time. We service both foreign and domestic vehicles, from compact cars to trucks to large fleet vehicles and everything in between. Regular oil change is critical to a car's maintenance service routine. A car depends on new oil, fuel filters, air filters and more to keep it running efficiently. Engines must be maintained by not only changing the oil, but using the appropriate oil for that car's specific make and model. Our certified mechanics consider the make, model, condition, and mileage when recommending the necessary oil change.
All of these parts except the pulley are contained in a housing made of aluminum. Today's alternators use compact, electronic voltage regulators that may be housed inside the alternator or the voltage regulator function may be handled by the vehicle's powertrain control module (PCM). The alternator generates direct current for recharging the battery and for powering vehicle electrical loads.

I am giving it a 2 because you don’t talk to an actual mechanic when you drop off and because of cost. Miscommunication can happen at drop off and you don’t get fixed what you came to get fixed. Then you may have to bring it back and get charged again for another diagnostic….and that cost. Geez. Just not worth all that. They are fine. But not personal enough for me to pay ALL that….it’s all automated. So there. Tried it. Disappointed n the cost and service. Moved on. Big buildings cost big money. Remember that.

I had made an appointment for a week out (they were busy, first avail I guess) and called the day before to confirm I would be dropping off the van/key after hours due to some acceleration issues. After dropping off the key in the drop box, I found out that nobody even knew the van was there the entire day because I didn't fill out the paperwork. I didn't even know there was a cabinet up top, nor was it obvious in the dark and with an appointment and confirming with staff - you would think it should not be difficult to figure out a stray Toyota key in the drop box. We had work done on our car here because it had broken down along the road we were from out of state.I talked to them at this business and told them to replace the alternator. My husband signed. An work order to replace the alternator. They texted me to pick the car up our car. I get there they replaced the battery. They knew I was looking for the work on my text they had changed the work order. The price was soppost to be for 200.00 instead they changed it for a battery that I didn't order. The car wasn't done when I got there. They said I had to approve the alternator. They knew they had me over

The people at the shop are nice, and the place is clean. You can make an appt online and can pay online. These things don't mean much if the quality of the work is not good. I have always taken my car back to the dealership, but I had an issue with my timing chain so I needed to get it repair locally. These guys did a great job, so I came back to have my rear brakes done and my cooling system flushed. Their customer service and quality of work has made me into a loyal customer. I have an Audi, but I will take our Honda's there as well.

I went in for a simple oil change and tire rotation and left paying $180. They found three screws on my tire that were "almost broken off" and they said it wasn't their fault. I'm sure it wasn't, possibly a past mechanic, even though I've had a tire rotation multiple times and nothing has been said. What I'm angry about is the ridiculous price. $117 for labor alone, and everything else totaling it to $180? On top of that he claimed they threw the screws and lugnuts away, meaning I couldn't take them somewhere to make sure they actually needed replacing. A

I had some issues with my 2011 BMW 328i. I took it to two other mechanic shops that couldn't find the issue. Keep in mind one other shop specializes in these import cars. One had it for a day and couldn't figure out the shuttering issue, and the other place had it for 3 days. 3 Days!!! I was defeated. No one could help me. My alinement was off. I needed it asap being i put new tires on. I contacted them after hours and they responded within 5 minutes. They scheduled an appointment the next day. I explained my issues. They did the alinement which was way out and it didn't fix it

If you need an honest, reasonable car repair shop in Statesboro, look no further. I am pleased to give these guys 5 stars. I have an older PT Cruiser and had two new tires put on and rotated a few weeks back. They always do a complete car checkup with recommended suggestions and level of urgency. So impressed I brought it back in for a new AC compressor among other things. While working on that job, they did not like the way one of my new tires looked and replaced it free of charge. Excellent customer service. Wish they also had a shop in Atlanta.

My brakes started scraping a few weeks back. Took my jeep to D&R Intensive Car Care to get new brakes. They asked if they could do a full inspection while they had my jeep. Needless to say, I needed a lot of work. Instead of saying everything was critical and needed to be fixed right away, I was given a timeline of when each repair should be made. The only critical repairs were the brakes and pads. Very nice to go to an auto shop and not be taken advantage of. Their honesty and willingness to work with me was very refreshing. I highly recommend their shop!!!

Terrible!!! When I first walked in they acted like they didn't want to help me then when they finished, they called me and told me a had to fix $4000 dollars worth of repairs. They told me my truck was unsafe to drive. Apparently everything was broken. I didn't believe them so I took my truck to my old place an hour away. That guy looks my truck all over and told me there was nothing wrong with it. These guys are scams.

This place apparently doesn't need business. Too busy to change out a tire (one tire) for my mother in law after she had a flat on the way over to my house. It was a 5 minute job, the tire was dismounted and the rim was in the back of my truck, I just needed the new tire mounted and balanced on her rim. They said they were too busy and wouldn't even discuss working it in. Basically they said said NO, not today. They were not rude, just not interested in my business. They don't have too worry about a repeat appearance from me. I got the tire mounted and balanced elsewhere in town
