Polk City Chiropractic is a family focused healthcare facility that puts the needs of our patients first. Dr. Chris Tigges has been treating patients in central Iowa for over 6 years since graduating from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 2011. Prior to that, he received a bachelor's degree in Biology from Briar Cliff University in 2008.
Dr. Chris Tigges is trained and efficient at multiple chiropractic adjusting techniques to provide effective treatment that is comfortable to the patient. The goal of chiropractic adjustments is to restore proper mobility to the spine and joints in the body. This reduces the stress, strain, and irritation to the associated nerves, ligaments, tendons, and muscles thereby allows the body to heal properly and reduce symptoms.
During your first visit to our office, Dr. Chris will review a history of your health and current condition, and perform a series of orthopedic, neurological, and spinal exams to formulate a diagnosis and see if Chiropractic care is right for you. If so, you may receive your first adjustment that day to begin the healing process immediately.

Extreme weekend back pain was curbed in minutes with Dr. Chris at Polk City Chiropractic. Easy to talk to, basic examination and the treatment left me feeling so much better within a few hours. I was nervous due to my pain, Dr. Chris was able to understand my situation and treated it with his expertise.

Dr Chris is beyond excellent, he has helped with my neck and back issues for years! He always talks to and explains everything he sees to better your knowledge on what’s going on! I drive 45 min to see him at least every 2 weeks because he always helps and is always so willing to try and fit you in his schedule the day of!

I became a patient in 2016, since that time, Dr. Chris has treated me and all 4 of my kiddos from age 9 to 20, for a variety of reasons. Each time he has been able to assess the issues and provide treatment to solve the problems. Dr. Chris is definitely the first call I make now when we are having trouble with an injury, headaches, cold symptoms, sleeping issues, or honestly any concern.

Great chiropractor! I had some serious issues when I went into his office (had to lift my right leg with my arms due to back issues) and within a couple of treatments Dr. Chris had limited the pain and most importantly I was able to walk and move around more freely. Will definitely be going back if any further issues arise, much better experience then others that I have been to recently!!

This place is the best! Dr. Chris is knowledgeable, gentle, and wise. He does not require any treatments that aren’t necessary, doesn’t require multiple visits that aren’t needed, and allows the patient to be in charge of their care. Location is great too, about ten minutes from NW Ankeny and has ample parking right in front.
