Services
Practicing family law requires understanding, compassion, empathy, experience and assertiveness. For more than 25 years, Lise S. Kaplan, LLC, in Macon has guided hundreds of clients throughout Middle Georgia in dealing with a variety of family law matters such as divorce, child custody, fathers' rights, child support, grandparent's rights, mediation and trial.
When parents divorce, their main concern is their children's well-being throughout the process and after. While both parents may want what is best for their children, they may not agree on the "best" custody arrangement for them and how this is structured. It can be overwhelming to find solutions that work for you and your children.
It is impossible to know how your life will change after your divorce. This uncertainty can affect every aspect of your life, creating stress and anxiety. An experienced attorney can help you move forward from this difficult time on the best possible terms. At Lise S. Kaplan, LLC, in Macon, Georgia, we recognize that no two divorces are exactly alike.
Change is inevitable. People are transferred by employers, lose their jobs or become ill and cannot work. Sometimes, such people just choose to ignore a judge's prior order to provide support to their children or former spouse. In this situation, your ex-spouse is in "contempt" of a court order that is binding upon him or her.
A child-friendly divorce is possible if both parents are willing to set aside their differences and focus on what is best for their children. The impact a divorce has on children can be minimized if the parents handle the case in a civil manner and work together to promote the best interests of their children by disrupting their lives as little as possible.

Lise Kaplan is an excellent attorney and honors her word. Lise asked me the first time we met what I wanted out of my divorce; my response to her was my kids. Lise is very professional and capable of handling any Family Law case. Lise is very easy to work with, honors her word, cares about her client, and most importantly the kids involved. I am primary custodian of my kids today because of Lise. Lise is very direct, tells you exactly what you need to do in order to help you win your case, while also trying to keep her fees at a minimum. Lise also has a very thorough, knowledgeable paralegal that

My experience with this attorney was not good. The person she had to serve my ex-husband lied saying he served him at a different location rather than at his "side chick's" house. Along with the fact that she will fluff her time and run through your money. I wound up firing her, and doing my own paperwork and divorce with no attorney.
