Laura graduated from Duke University in 2003 with a major in Political Science. She received her J.D. in 2006 from William and Mary School of Law, where she served as a staff editor for the William and Mary Law Review.
Prior to opening Willis Law, Laura served as a law clerk to now Justice James T. Vaughn, Jr. in the Superior Court of Kent County, practiced insurance litigation in Wilmington, and practiced as an associate at a full-service law firm in Dover.Active in the community, Laura is involved with the Smyrna Holly's Club, the Ronald McDonald House, Destination Downtown Dover, the Duke University Alumni program, and Asbury United Methodist Church.
