I've been photographing newborns and birth for over 10 years now, and I can tell you this- I am so thankful for each and every single client who has given me the honor to photograph such special moments in their lives. A session with The Newborn Artist isn't your typical photo session- it's a one of a kind experience that is tailored to each family we work with.

Julie documents moments that are authentic, raw and real between a parent and newborn, captures a pregnant mother in all her beauty, documents families and the joy the express. Located in the beautiful Tacoma/Puyallup area of Washington, tucked in between Seattle and Olympia, The Studio is a calming & neutral color based studio that focuses on natural and organic posing, with a strong emphasis in capturing authentic moments.

Julie is an amazing photographer! She is so great with little ones and older siblings! My youngest had photos with her and we also had Santa photos done with her. Such beautiful quality images and she is so great to work with. I highly recommend her!

Julie is amazing! The way she cares for her clients is absolutely above and beyond anything I’ve ever seen in a photographer. Being able to witness her both in birth and newborn settings was nothing short of magical. My experience with her taking my last two sets of headshots, she made me feel so comfortable and captured me so well that it was hard to pick which photos I liked best, when normally I’m straining to find one or two I don’t hate. A truly anointed and gifted artist!

We had a great experience with Julie, The Newborn Artist! She was so patient with our little girl and got the most amazing shots of her. She also has a great variety of textures/colors in swaddles, headbands, wraps and backdrops. It was great to just be able to show up and not have to think about "props" or other things. Highly recommend Julie to anyone.

Julie was amazing! She took so much time to get our newborn in the right pose! She also was so patient with my 4 and 2 year old who did not really want their picture taken at times. I loved all the poses and she moved our baby boy like he was molding clay, it was really fun to see:)

What an amazing experience I had, not only did Julie capture such a beautiful bond me and my son share but I was able to see the beauty in the images, you can pick any photographer but you cant always find someone so passionate and see the full imagine before its made! Thank you I now have nursing my son, memories ill hold on to forever!!
