My work is a lot about listening. I hear a woman's story and then translate it into the way I pose her and how I photograph her. I believe "weird" is a compliment. I dance through the aisles of H-Mart to K-pop music while my husband pretends he doesn't know me. I believe a dream isn't complete until there's a plan to achieve it.
I never fill up the gas in my car until well after the empty light comes on. I believe in living like a local instead of traveling like a tourist. The rational part of my brain knows it's all made up, but I still love taking personality tests. I believe in building your own community of misfits. I still wear my favorite powerpuff girl pajamas I've had since 8th grade.

Where do I begin??? This was an amazing experience on so many different levels. It was well worth the investment and I would recommend Melissa Mullins Portraits to any of my friends and family.

Melissa has a unique style... one that lets you capture your imagination in such a unique way. I had always wanted to do a pinup photo shoot, but never thought I would actually go through with it due to my shyness and just not connecting 100% with photographers that I had seen before.

Melissa is fun, super easy to work with and professional. When you start talking with her about a shoot idea, it feels like you're talking to a long time girlfriend. She takes your shoot ideas and expands on it and creates something more magical then you can even imagine. She gives great posing ideas/coaches. Booking a shoot with her is worth it and you'll never experience anything like it ever again!

Melissa is an incredibly talented and creative photographer. Every time I have gotten to shoot with her, Melissa has gone above and beyond to ensure I was comfortable, relaxed, and having an amazing time. Her new studio space is fantastic and well equipped with everything you might need for a shoot (which is so helpful if you tend to forget small last minute things like me!) The photos she produces are stunning and professional, and I cannot wait for the opportunity to get to work with her again!

Beautiful pictures that I can use and print unlike other photographers that charge for every print. Great make-up and experience.
