Dr. Schuldt was born and raised in Grand Island and has one brother, who is a Chiropractor here in Grand Island. She graduated from Grand Island Senior High and completed her undergraduate studies at UNL where she received a Bachelors of Science with a minor in Psychology. Whitney was born in Denver, CO., and raised in Ogallala, NE. She graduated in 2011 from the Dental Assisting program at Mid Plains Community College. Her friendly and bubbly chair side manner helps patients feel comfortable during their visit. Whitney is passionate about helping others and plans to further her education in dentistry as a dental hygienist.
A dental exam as well as a professional dental cleaning are both part of your preventative care regimen. The cleaning works to remove hardened buildup and plaque from the teeth that would otherwise be impossible to remove on your own. The exam allows us to find issues pertaining to dental decay, loose or missing restorations as well as oral cancer.
A dental filling is put in place of dental decay. If you have a cavity, the decay will need to be removed and the small hole that is left is filled with composite resin material. This filling is tooth-colored in nature and virtually undetectable to the naked eye. Fillings help to retain the integrity and strength of a tooth that has had a cavity.
Root canal therapy involves complete removal of the pulp, sometimes called the nerve, of the tooth. When this pulp becomes infected by bacterial decay or has been fully exposed due to a break or crack, it will need to be removed. Most often, an exposed or infected pulp will cause severe pain and sensitivity that will not go away until it is removed.

Beautiful office inside and out, state or the art equipment, staff Extremely professional Was my 1st time going there and I felt like I've been going there for years they made me so welcome, started with a cleaning, next day some kinda expensive dental work done and a teeth whitening I could not be happier with my results of everything. I highly recommend going here for anyone's next dental appointment!

Went today and got a tooth removed never a pleasant thing, but the staff at Downtown dental were very pleasant and considered of how I am doing and welcoming. The message chair as getting a tooth pulled who would have thunk it but very nice. I recommend for anyone to use their service. Thank you Downtown Dental see you again.
