M. Darin Vance, Attorney At Law
My firm focuses exclusively on defending clients throughout northern Mississippi against criminal charges. I will protect your rights and future with intelligent, assertive legal counsel. A criminal conviction can have lifelong repercussions. In fact, just being charged with a crime can have consequences on your job or your family life.

The American justice system operates on a presumption of innocence, but that may not be sufficient if you are not represented by a knowledgeable and experienced attorney. I am attorney M. Darin Vance, and defending individuals against criminal charges is all I do. I have more than 22 years of legal experience.
Services
I am attorney M. Darin Vance, and I have practiced law since 1997. I founded my firm in 1999 and have focused my efforts on providing effective criminal defense since I started practicing law. Criminal courts in DeSoto County and throughout northern Mississippi are brimming with cases. Effectively navigating the system requires careful attention to details and a thorough understanding of the nuances that help produce effective resolutions.
Conviction of a criminal charge in northern Mississippi - even for a so-called minor offense - can seriously derail your life. You may lose your job, your driver's license, even your freedom. It is critical to enlist the services of an experienced criminal defense attorney who understands how to minimize the impact of a criminal charge.
Under Mississippi law, an individual commits aggravated assault if he or she attempts to cause bodily harm to someone, or actually does cause serious bodily harm to someone else. Aggravated assault may be committed through an intentional act or by acting recklessly and with indifference to human life.
As someone who serves our country, you deserve a top-notch legal defense when you face criminal charges off-base. At M. Darin Vance, Attorney at Law, I am proud to represent our men and women in uniform from our nearby bases, such as the 230th Army Liaison, the U.S. Army Reserve or any of our many National Guard posts.
Whether you serve in the military, work for the government or work in the private sector, if your job depends upon a government security clearance, you cannot afford a criminal record. Criminal convictions can jeopardize your job and the future of your career. If you are facing criminal charges, you need an experienced attorney to defend you and your criminal record.

Great man and even better lawyer. My son got in some trouble in Southaven. They tried to stick him with two felonies. Mr.Vance went above and beyond and got his record cleared. Worth every penny.

Was told this is a marathon and not a sprint, as continuances lasted over and over for one year, never viewed the actual evidence provided by the prosecutor. Brought in another attorney for research as he was working on becoming a public defender. Stated the prosecutor was “green” and we would be ready for anything. At the last court date, he was done and advised to take a 10 year plea as he had “no defense”. Don’t let his personality fool you to think he will actually fight for you.
