Aquatic plants play numerous roles in the ecosystem of a pond. Aquatic plants consume the same nutrients as algae. They also consume various metals and other compounts. Another advantage of plants is that they provide shade, which deprive algae of direct sunlight. Blooming aquatic plants such as Lotus and tropical water liles comsume huge amounts of nitrates from the pond which will also help with reducing algae problems.
Darren Lucas received his designation as of a Certified Professional Pond Contractor (CPPC) by the International Professional Pond Contractors Association (IPPCA). Attaining the CPPC certification was not simple. Darren had to be a member in good standing, submit a portfolio of completed projects with customer verification of proper installation, maintenance and service, and provide proof of insurance.

Not sure what to say other than that I was very surprised at the service. Made me feel like an afterthought when it came to being a customer. Also didn't feel like I was provided accurate information about ways to take care of my fish. Never had a good feeling but probably the final straw was a bill for $100 to screw in a light bulb and a charged me a cleanup where company stayed maaayyybbeeee 25 minutes if I'm being generous. Requested a closure of the pond and we dropped as a customer- probably the best thing they could have done but still rude and unprofessional.

Darren is extremely professional and reliable. He took care of our pond for several years and showed on various occasions, that he has the knowledge to meet a variety of situations that can arise unexpectedly. In this business it is important to find someone trustworthy and who you can count on. That is true of Darren.
