Berclair Animal Hospital has been serving the Memphis area for more than 60 years. In addition to wellness exams, grooming, boarding, pharmacy and medication refills, vaccines, nutrition and dental work, we also concentrate our practice on small animal and exotic medicine, with an emphasis on dermatology, gastroenterology, endocrine diseases, internal medicine, trauma, emergencies, and surgery.
Dr. Steve has been a part of Berclair Animal Hospital for most of his life. He took over ownership of the hospital from his dad in 2013. Dr. Steve graduated with a degree in Animal Science from Auburn in 1988. From there, he went to work as an adhesive chemist for Schering-Plough for a few years before deciding to return to school.

My bunny has been misdiagnosed twice but still had to pay a high bill just for him to go home and continue to suffer from a absences when I was told by the veterinarian he was certain it was not a abscess and that it was a allergic reaction to being stung by something. He is a indoor pet and nothing could have possibly stung him but the dr was so sure something had to have stung him so I had to force Benadryl and pain meds down the bunny’s throat upsetting him & not helping the real problem. They are not expert of bunnies! My happy and healthy bunny suffered a lot due to their mistreatment. Although it is their fault, every time I have to pay a lot of money but my bunny is still suffering. Its better to go to a good vet because ultimately they will make you go to them almost every week and you have to waste a lot of money! very unpleasant experience!

Absolute life savers! We are a military family moving to California and we did not realize until the last minute that our pet mini pig Chuleta needed to have a microchip and certification of veterinary inspection in order to go with us. Berclair got us an appointment the next day, did the microchip, called the CA department of agriculture for us to verify the requirements, and made sure we had everything we needed to legally bring our pet with us to our new duty station. Dr. Nation and all of the staff were professional and kind and went above and beyond to take care of our last minute needs.

My dog is dead now because berclair animal clinic failed to fully examine her properly like we were paying them to do. avoid this place, they just taking people's money and giving them shots with no examination!!! they don't deserve the 1 star!!!!!!! im thinking about going to the news to warn others

The doctors and clinic staff are one of the best veterinary practices in Memphis. They offer a range of services and provide timely and accurate information to their clients. Most recently, I had to make the difficult but necessary decision to euthanize one of the elder dogs I had adopted. Dr. Snow and his staff guided me through the process, provided comfort and patience and respected my decision. Susie’s death was kind and without pain and it was my privilege to be with her. Berclair made this experience possible.

Worst vets office I've ever been to. Waited over an hour to pick up my cat. They come into the room and tell me they can't get my cat out of her cage because of her "attitude". I go back there, and my cat is covered in her own urine that she apparently had been sitting in all day. They wanted me to take her home like after charging me $240.00 to tell me she had a UTI. I WILL NEVER USE THIS PLACE AGAIN. The employees are rude and so are the doctors. Worst money ever spent and worst experience I've ever had with a so-called professional business. Do not recommend.
