My boyfriend and I come to Moko every time we go visit his family in Olney, and it’s some of the best sushi we’ve had. We live in Manhattan and Moko is really better than a lot of the sushi we regularly enjoy in the city! Super fresh and prepared quickly by kind staff. Have probably been a couple dozen times by now and never a negative experience.

Hello I am vegan and there were good vegan options. I got the hibachi vegetable with vegetable fried rice (no egg). I also had an avocado role and edamame. I got hot green tea and it had free refills. The vegetables in the hibachi and teriyaki were perfectly cooked to be not too soft but not too hard, they are just right (except the carrots but what can you do?). The avocado role was good (not extraordinary but quality) and the fried rice (no egg) was average but the vegetables were to die for.

This was the worst sushi we've ever had. I ordered a sushi roll with whitefish and salmon and it had a fishy taste and a mushy consistency. I couldn't even finish it. My partner ordered a sushi roll that supposedly had spicy tuna in it, but was very bland. Also, the rolls were smaller in size than other places and therefore way over-priced. Even the spring rolls were tiny. Will never order from here again.

TL;DR the dinner/regular prices are too high and the size of their special rolls are WAY too small! Their sushi itself is fresh and tastes very good, and you get the best deal by doing their weekday/Saturday lunch specials and using the coupons they occasionally mail out. I will still return for that!
My parents and I have been frequenting Moko Sushi since it opened because of its convenient location and good sushi roll lunch specials. However, I've cut back a star. While their sushi rolls taste pretty good, the size of the special rolls are always SO SMALL for their price of ~$15. Today

Ordered delivery. Got spicy tuna crunch roll, spicy salmon roll, the sweet heart roll and miso soup.
The spicy rolls were not very spicy. Really not spicy at all. Bland. An overall theme of the meal. The sweetheart roll was not balanced. The hot chili sauce totally blew my palate out and that's all I could taste. The miso soup came very hot but was pretty bland and darker in color then I am use to. I tried to give my dog some of the fish that was on top of the sweetheart roll and he even pushed it around a bit. Eventually he did eat it...Over all very unsatisfying and didn't quench

We love Moko Sushi... it's in steady rotation for takeout during Quarantimes™, but we've been going here since it first opened. My children (3 and 5!) get so excited when we tell them we're ordering from Moko -- they each INHALE an order of shumai on their own and love the edamame, prepared perfectly salted. My daughter misses getting the carrot and cherry garnish in her takeout like they have when we used to visit in-person, so I make it for her at home to give her the full experience she enjoys. My husband and I have tried pretty much all of the specialty rolls and a few of

Moko sushi is simple, but very good. They have great lunch specials, which is a plus, but their normal dinner prices aren't spectacular. My friend and I got (for takeout) an order of the shrimp gyoza, a shrimp tempura roll, and a spicy salmon with crunch roll. The quality of the fish was good and - here's the kicker - the sushi rice was AMAZING! I feel like I've never had a sushi roll with such good rice that I wished I'd gotten a side order of just rice, too! However, the flavor was lacking a little and the spicy salmon with crunch roll wasn't that spicy or crunchy?

Went here 4 months ago before the covid-19 all started. They had good food and the presentation was good. When I ordered my food yesterday it was the worst. First thing I noticed when I got there I walked in and it was 85° inside. I would have gotten better sushi from Wegmans. The portion size of the rolls was ridiculous small and they had no kind of flavor to them. All of the rolls tasted the same. I order a sashimi deluxe. The yellowtail and salmon wasn't fresh. They both had a fishy smell to them. This is the worst sushi I ever had. I wouldn't return here for sushi again.

Really enjoyed my recent lunch at Moko Sushi, glad we made the trip and we will be back.
(For background: Years ago I discovered chicken katsu at a little Philippine food joint in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, and I have had chicken katsu on my mind ever since. A little searching showed Moko Sushi served this delicacy, so off the wife and I went for lunch.)
I ordered the chicken katsu Bento box for lunch, which also contained a small salad, beautiful steamed rice, three really yummy shumai, and four pieces of avocado/krab roll.
I've got to comment on the rice... if only I could attain that level

I think it's safe to say that I may have found a new go-to sushi spot in the area...
Felt very welcomed as soon as we stepped into the restaurant. It looks tiny from the outside but it has a good enough space on the inside (bonus: they have outdoor seating during nicer days). The servers were really nice and attentive all throughout the meal.
Ordered the shumai for an appetizer. You get 6 tiny ones that were delicious. Comes in some kind of pre-made soy sauce mix that paired well with it. No idea what they put in there (it's not just plain soy sauce) but whatever it is... A+!

The sushi here is still pretty darn good but I have to add two things that kind of irk me about this place.
1) If you forget to say "light on the dressing" for the salad then you can expect a soup of salad dressing with some leaves of lettuce in it. Ugh.
2) Why oh why is the music in there so darn loud. I mean I love smooth jazz as much as the next guy but DANG at that volume it doesn't feel so smooth.

This Japanese restaurant has something for everyone, and is excellent. The best sushi I have had in the metro DC area, and surprising since it's in a small local shopping center. Besides sushi, there are udon soups, teryaki, tempura, hibachi, classic rolls and specialties. The even have some cooked sushi dishes if you want. The chef prepared a nice presentation. The sushi and rolls were beautifully prepared and presented, full of flavor, give this place a try~ . We started with the tempura vegetable appetizer which was light and crisp and the vegetables tender. We had the Double Spicy Roll which
