Now that my case is over and the judge ruled in my favor to receive Social Security Benefits you hear all these horror stories about the lawyer taken the rest of your money.I researched all the fees but never heard or came across that after you been awarded a certain date for benefits the person has to wait 5 months. Who gets the money? Not your lawyer, he has to pay an additional hefty fee to be able to claim his share. So, I'm glad I had Mr. Cuthbert & Ms. Penny help look thru all these confusing fees. I went through the firm for my disability case, it was my 3rd appeal and I had to go for my hearing. My lawyer was pretty confident before court, i had more than enough evidence from numerous doctors, it should have been a pretty simple case and it was just deciding on how much back-pay I would receive. I do not feel once we stepped in the hearing room my lawyer did what he said or was paid to do.
