Dr. Ada Torao was born in Puerto Rico and in addition to fluent English, is a native Spanish speaker. Her patient philosophy is to provide friendly, high-quality care in a comfortable setting while educating the patient in order to establish and maintain optimum oral health. In her free time, she loves spending time with her husband and their dog, scuba diving, and traveling.
Glass Road Family Dentistry is seeking an experienced registered dental hygienist for our practice. This is a part-time hygienist position that will be performing routine treatment procedure, assessing needs of the patient as well as a variety of other responsibilities, working Monday 8 am to 5 pm with the possibility of picking up another day.
With years of use, teeth will weaken and become susceptible to problems such as cracks, broken cusps, discoloration and decay. In much the same way that a dovetail joint strengthens cabinetry or a bottle cap maintains a soft drink's freshness; a dental crown strengthens and protects a tooth. Using 21st Century materials, we are able to not only strengthen your tooth with our crowns, but also beautify your tooth with durable cosmetic materials.
Dental Bridges replace missing teeth. Using your existing teeth or dental implants as anchors; bridges are permanently placed in your mouth to restore the missing teeth. In our Cedar Rapids dental office we use 21st Century materials for our bridges. These materials are both durable and cosmetic in their appearance.
Having your "teeth cleaned" is more important than just the great feeling you get from clean teeth. Dental hygiene is the cornerstone of a healthy mouth as well as a healthy body. Studies have linked poor dental hygiene to conditions such as heart disease, diabetes, leukemia and other systemic problems.

Glass Road Dental offers knowledgeable treatment with amazing customer focus. Every member of the staff is friendly and personable. Amy at the front desk is great. Dr Torano has a ready smile and a warm manner. She’s reassuring and has a sense of humor. Tracy, my hygienist, is superb. She does great work. I feel she has become a valued friend as well as an excellent hygienist.

My hygienist Kara was fantastic. Kept conversation going, kept me very informed about what she was doing and seeing. She really made me feel comfortable!! The Dr also was very informative and as a new patient I appreciated that there were suggestions and a recommendation to see how things look in 6 months rather than creating a big plan right out of the gates!!
