As a photographer, 2020 was a challenge. I put down my cameras and created a safe, effective remote alternative that mirrors a studio shoot. The new normal has created a new normal for many business functions. Virtual headshot photoshoots are viable options that reduce travel and still offer the same quality as a studio shoot for many business needs.
A professional photographer coaches them via the internet for the best poses, and best lighting and most effective setting. Photos taken during a virtual photoshoot are actual live mobile camera shots in the client's own environment. It is managed by the photographer who guides poses, angles, and lighting then snaps the shutter.
I think the virtual photoshoot worked really well and was easy considering it was through the internet. I felt comfortable especially with Linda coaching me how to pose and where the smartphone camera should be. Linda provided me with written material and a description of the process that was thorough yet not complicated.

I was putting off a much-needed professional head shot for my LinkedIn profile because I'm one of those people who doesn't like to have his picture taken. I kept putting it off until I met Linda on a networking Zoom call. After getting to know more about Linda and her virtual photography services, I booked a session. Linda has been taking my family's pictures for 10 years! Each year we find a new, fun place and have created a large wall of our photos in our family room. I have used Linda on more than one occasion for both professional photos and personal photos with wonderful results! She is creative in her approach and explored ideas with me that helped me relax and have a great time. She is able to do more posed photos but I also wanted some more natural candid photos which are some of my favorite. The picture with my dog Cass is one of my all time favorite pictures. Now that he has passed on I treasure it all the more! She truly has an eye and let me come through in all my photos.

With all of the changes that have taken place this year, it is lovely to see how many small businesses have responded, even photographers! For kids that are home-schooled, or are participating in distance learning, school pictures might have otherwise been out of the question. My Virtual photography session with Linda was amazingly fun and easy. And I was so excited to see such great pictures as a result!!! Linda and I have worked previously together LIVE so this was a whole new experience for me. The process is simple, Linda explains it to you and sends you a cheat sheet! Then you spend a little time on the day of, setting up the shoot but Linda knows how to help navigate and direct. We always have a good laugh too! I absolutely recommend getting your pictures done even during this time of physical distancing. Don't let the opportunity go by!

Linda is wonderful at bring out the best in her sitters. I had such fun with her and she was absolutely able to capture the warm side of my personality in a way no other photographer has. I love working remotely with Linda. Her instructions were perfectly clear and easy to follow. Working remotely saved an enormously amount of time plus I loved being in the comfort of my own how.
