A Salisbury native, Dr. Kristen Iman is the owner of Iman Family Chiropractic and Wellness. After graduation from Wicomico High School in 2000, Dr. Iman completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a minor in Exercise Science from Salisbury University in 2004. She then went on and received her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from New York Chiropractic College in 2009.
Peggy Iman is a Registered Chiropractic Assistant and the office manager at Iman Family Chiropractic and Wellness. As you can tell by the last name she is also Dr. Iman's mom! Peggy obtained her CA license and keeps the certification current through continuing education classes offered by the Maryland Chiropractic Association.
Many women seek chiropractic care to relieve neck or back pain that can result from weight gain and altered biomechanics during pregnancy. But even if you're not in pain, you can benefit from visiting a chiropractor. Chiropractic care during pregnancy maintains, and can even improve, balance and alignment in your spine and pelvis.
As with all chiropractic adjustments, our intent is to improve the nervous system so the body can function better. In pregnant women, if the pelvis is not balanced, the uneven pulling on these muscles and ligaments may be restricting the baby's ability to get into the best possible position for birth.
Creating a baby seems like an easy and fun thing to do. For some this comes true but the reality is 1 in 8 couples have difficulty getting pregnant or staying pregnant. Many times the woman blames herself when there is a miscarriage. The same is true for the inability to conceive, as many believe this is a female issue.

Dr. Iman has been a literal life saver for me. I first went to see her for neck pain more than a year ago and she was able to immediately identify an underlying issue. Along with frequent adjustments, I started right away in the sauna and she was able to refer to me other health professionals to assist us along in the journey to health. Miss Peggy at the front desk is very kind and welcoming. The team makes me feel cared for and I have seen Dr. Iman go above and beyond time and time again. After 2 of my 3 children suffered from shoulder dystocia and resulting birth injuries, I began seeing Dr. Iman during my fourth pregnancy. I truly believe if it weren’t for her my fourth child would have suffered the same. All four of my kids have come to love seeing her and request to go often! Everyone in the office is extremely caring, flexible, kind, and patient. We are so thankful to have found someone who cares so greatly.

Very horrible staff, rude. I was supposed to be a new patient there, and was never put in the system. I was upset about not being on the schedule due to the fact that I waited a whole month for my appointment and I am 35 weeks pregnant. The secretary, instead of apologizing, told me if I’m unhappy to go find another place. So unprofessional and highly rude. Disgusting.

Twice I was able to come from out of town and get an emergency adjustment from Dr. Iman. She listened to my concerns, and treated me with expertise and kindness. Had I not gone to her, my neck and back would have likely bothered me for quite some time, unnecessarily. I trust her passion and educational background for the field to recommend her to others.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Iman for more than two years now. I saw her during pregnancy and continued after the birth of my son. She is passionate about the work she does with female reproductive health and I’m so happy I made my first appointment 2+ years ago. I have been suffering from back pain for quite some time and under the advice of my primary Dr. I tried out chiropractic care. I was referred to Dr. Iman from a friend who raved about her experience with her. I gave it a shot and went in for a visit. During the visit I was made to feel at home and that my overall health was of importance to her, not just my issues with my back.
