But what should be done with those documents after your check or refund request is in the mail? Federal law requires you to maintain copies of your tax returns and supporting documents for three years. This is called the "three-year law" and leads many people to believe they're safe provided they retain their documents for this period of time.

I would absolutely STAY AWAY from this firm. It took them over a month to complete simple tax returns and even then they weren’t complete. We were hen told that they were waiting on us to give them additional business.
Not to mention the inconvenience and penalties we have to pay to the IRS for not getting tax returns filed in time. 1 month to complete a simple return???

Steven and his staff have done all my personal and business accounting for the last 8 or 9 years. I have always been happy with the quality of the service I receive. It's my opinion that it's much, much cheaper to hire a good accountant than attempt to do any of this myself. I feel I have a great relationship with his office and will continue to use his services for the foreseeable future.
