Brenda is one of Telluride’s most beloved local talents. The “go to” of choice for portraits and events. As a resident who loves and truly sees the beauty in the mountains she calls home she brings that emotion to her photography. She is a wonderful mom and dog lover. Her affection for and connection with the families she photographs plays a vital role in the lovely way she captures the style and character of each and every one of her subjects. We hired Brenda Colwell Photography to take our son's Senior pictures. We were so pleased with the entire process. The "magic" in a portrait seems to be in getting the emotion to come through along with the great visual. Within minutes she had him relaxed and captured his personality perfectly. We had our proofs in a timely manner and the final results were breathtaking and we will treasure them forever. We have already booked another session for our upcoming Senior.

I had planned to have my wedding in Colorado last July, and I had chosen Brenda to be our photographer. We loved her photos, and when we went up to meet with her, we felt that she was a reputable photographer with a strong understanding of family values. 25 days before our wedding, I contracted a virus that left me fully paralyzed with respiratory failure in ICU for 3 1/2 weeks. Brenda was amazing to work with from scheduling to our actual photo shoot. I am 8 1/2 month pregnant and she made me feel beautiful!!! The locations she took us to were breathtaking. I can’t wait to bring our baby boy to Telluride for family photos!! Not only did we find a wonderful photographer but made such a sweet friend!
