Founded in 1996, HZA Engineering has more than 20 years of electrical and mechanical experience across Alaska. We understand that conditions and climates vary statewide, from the North Slope to the Aleutian Islands. HZA approaches each new project with the time and patience to make each project run smoothly, while meeting budget, timeline and sustainability objectives.
Calvin is the founder and Principal Mechanical Engineer for HZA. Calvin began his career in 1983 working for a mechanical contractor while pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Alaska - Fairbanks. Over his 30-year engineering career Calvin has provided engineering solutions for projects all across the State of Alaska from the North Slope to southeast and the Aleutians.
HZA provides a wholistic approach to design-build projects, always navigating a delicate balance of system performance, constructability, customer requirements, and budget. Their ability to manage collaboration from multiple disciplines, attention to detail, and communication style is second to none.
