After being discharged from the Navy in the 1950s at the age of 23, Bob settled in New York and began working in the construction trade. The company where he was employed built restaurants, apartments, as well as single family homes, giving Bob a broad range of expertise in a diversity of projects.
In 1959 Bob started his own construction business. He built custom homes and remodeled existing homes, earning a reputation for quality work and reliability. In October of 1964, Bob and his wife Edith Mae decided to move their young family to California where he continued his career working for Mae's uncle, a Southern California general contractor.

Never saw or spoke with the project manager after the initial walk through. I don’t believe they even purchased the appropriate permits for the work because no inspectors came to the house throughout the work - Isn’t that part of why we work with “certified” contractors? Insurance paid for the work caused by an upstairs pipe burst. This company subcontracts the work so the workers who worked on our home were not associated to Roberts Construction. Error in carpet installation made by administration - yes they replaced the carpet but we were left with damage NEW base boards. Work took months

This company was prompt with providing as estimate, and was available to do the work in a timely way. Job well done, until the finish line. I was surprised to see some needed repairs not addressed by the contractor, so the job was left incomplete. Attempts to get a call back for another estimate to finish the work and address some minor problems went unanswered. This unprofessional ending dropped their rating.
