We will have a Halloween Costume contest, raffle prizes and other fun for you and your pet. Proceeds from our raffle and donations will go towards Canine Companions for Independence to raise money for therapy dogs for veterans. With the new CDC update, we can relax our policy. You are welcome to come in with your pet, HOWEVER, we are going to still asking everyone to wear a mask and socially distance.
PLEASE stay in your car and call us when you arrive. We will come out when the exam room is ready to bring you and your pet into the hospital for evaluation. After the exam, we will escort you back to your car, but please wait there for a phone call to check out over the phone and to get your prescriptions.

Services
We offer Petly to you free of charge. You will receive reminders on vaccines and treatments that are coming due. You will also get a reminder about upcoming appointments. If we have your email address on file, you will automatically receive an invitation to join Petly, and you can opt-in for text messaging just follow the prompts.
One of the best ways to keep your pet healthy is to have a comprehensive physical examination every year. During the exam, will discuss your pet's lifestyle, vaccines, diet, appropriate tests, and any concerns you may have. At Mallard Creek Animal Hospital, we are happy to talk with you about parasites and methods of prevention.
With our in-house diagnostic equipment, we can analyze blood and urine while you wait. Tests we can perform include complete blood count, blood chemistry, urinalysis, fecal flotation, heartworm test, feline leukemia and feline immunodeficiency virus tests, fructosamine, thyroid test, and more. If your pet requires more specialized testing, we will send it to our reference laboratory and results will generally be back within the week.
Does your pet have bad breath? Despite what many pet owners may believe, dog/cat breath is not just a nuisance, it's a sign of an unhealthy mouth. Bad breath is caused by bacteria. Over time, bacteria leads to plaque and tartar buildup on your pet's teeth. The result is bad breath, reddened gums, and other common signs of dental disease.
We are pleased to provide a wide range of surgical services for our patients. From routine surgical procedures, such as spaying and neutering, to more complex surgeries, we look forward to the opportunity to care for your pet's surgical needs. Safety is our priority. We perform preanesthesic blood work on any patient undergoing anesthesia.

After spending Christmas eve at Long Animal Hospital ER, I wasn't confident with the diagnosis. Turns out I wasted $268. Not even 48 hours later, I get a TRUE diagnosis with appropriate treatment. I've been coming to Mallard Creek Animal Hospital and LOVE the doctors and service. Thank you for taking care of my babies!

I love Mallard Creek Animal Hospital. The staff are always so kind and patient. The doctors always take the time to help me understand what’s going on with my dog, and answer any questions I might have. Would recommend this vet to any pet parent!

Called late in the day; did not have appointment. I wanted Sasha's nails trimmed; and to re-test for heart worm, as we're doing "slow kill" and it had been 12 months. I was able to see a tech; can't remember his name, but he was EXCELLENT. Sasha felt very comfortable as he trimmed her nails; and drew blood for test. Happy to find out "slow kill" worked; and now negative (Sasha came from Humane Society Charlotte as heart worm positive. I"m glad they allow us in again; this is very important to me; a deal breaker.

The vets and techs are genuine and caring and pay attention to the details (example our Moxie and her foot cast below!) (we have Dr. Ponce and Dr. Turner). They answer all your questions with patience and the vets themselves make the time to call you and explain any procedures. We have had several situations when we had to bring our two dogs here with serious injuries or medical complications and left feeling reassured and confident our dogs were in the BEST hands. Thank you all staff at Mallard Creek Animal Hospital. We are grateful for you!
