I actually made this appointment with Precision Transmission for my friend John who has an old hot rod and needed a second opinion on. He went up there they took care of him right away. They just drove his car and told him what he needed to do to fix it. It turned out it was only an oil additive for his rear differential. He has a positive traction in his hit rod. They also looked at the engine and fixed a vacuum leak on it for free. His engine was running rough. They didn't charge him a thing. He is a happy camper now and will be doing any future transmission work with Precision Transmission.

Quoted $800 to replace a $30 part. After a little YouTube research I received the part next day from Amazon and did it myself in a little over an hour... changed the transmission oil and filter too since I was already dirty.
Their quality of work might be fine, I don't know about that, but this quote seemed predatory and trying to take advantage of people's fear of transmissions.

Anybody can work on your car, but only a few can do the work right the first time, and Precision Transmission is one of those that get it done right.
Believe me, I know! I took my truck into a local shop to have an engine installed and after thousands of dollars, it was worse than when I dropped it off. What a disaster!
After a few conversations with Precision they agreed to do the impossible and put a 6.2 in my 2000 GMC Sierra. Everybody said it couldn't be done. They did it, and did it right. I'm back loving my truck and I'm so thankful for Precision Transmission and the wonderful crew.

Very satisfied with the service the mechanics did a excellent job ! My truck is 31 yrs old but now the transmission shifts like a new truck & Jenifer & Sara has been very professional & polite & courteous thru out the whole ordeal keeping me updated on things! This AAA rated car center I give an A+! The brakes on the car started making that screeching and grinding sound so we made an appointment at a different place (I'll leave them out) and they said nothing was wrong...the roater just had a little rust. They said it was perfectly safe to drive. One more day of driving and we felt they had to be wrong. We called Precision. They couldn't believe the other place put us back on the road!! Needless to say we are safe now and recieved the AAA discount 🙂 I will NOT ever make the mistake of going anywhere else.

Big thanks to Davie and everyone at Precision trans. I was on my way to Florida for bike week and had transmission trouble on the way down. While I was at bike week the folks at Precision replaced my transmission with a reman at a reasonable price and had us on our way back to Michigan by the end of the week. Big thank you to everyone there !!!
