After working in California for over 15 years in her own private practice, she decided to move to Ocala, and following successful completion of the Statutory Examination, she invited Dr Link and Dr De Leon to join her in the Smart Dentistry practice. She is passionate about the way oral health can improve a person's overall health and wellbeing.

A visit with Dr.Sand is a delight. She is very thorough, complete and professional. Mouth always feels so healthy that you don’t want to go out and eat!!. My four year old needed extensive dental work and I am incredibly thankful for Dr. Sand. She is incredibly knowledgeable, thorough, patient. She made my little one feel secure with such a “scary” procedure!!!! I highly recommend Smart Dentistry in Ocala!!

I brought my twin daughters for their dental check up to the Smart Dentistry practice after having an amazing experience myself. My daughters were greeted with love and kindness. The dentist was sweet and made sure my girls knew everything that is being done to them. She educated them with age appropriate language as well. The experience was just right for us. The girls had fun and absolutely no fear. Dr. Sand engaged them and made sure they have a positive experience. She was incredibly gentle and kind. I wish all children would have this experience. Giving 10 stars!!

There's not enough words to describe my experience at Holistic Dentistry. I recently moved to the area and was desperately trying to find a new office. All I can say is WOW! They were incredibly professional from beginning to end. Dr. Sand is very passionate about what she does and you can tell from the way she treats you during each visit. I would recommend this place in a heartbeat!

10 years ago at a different dental practice; I had a procedure done poorly and was left with an overwhelming fear of receiving dental work of any kind. Astrid and her team have been SO helpful in acknowledging my dental trauma and helping me to recover, address my fears, and give me the education and treatment needed to fix my teeth thus preparing me for a healthier future.

They are the BEST dental practice that I have ever been to and I have been to many! Dr. Astrid Sand is very skilled and followed all the protocols for removing the toxic, mercury amalgams in my teeth and then restored and rebuilt my mouth using the most up to date and modern techniques. All the assistants and her whole team are very knowledgeable and caring too. Dr. Sand has repaired the damage which has been done to my teeth by previous, incompetent dentists! I highly recommend them!

I had been one of those people for a very long time who thought of the dentist office as scary and intimidating. BOY WAS I WRONG! After being referred to Smart Dentistry as not only friendly but clean and gentle to my fears of the dentist, i have now turned into one of those cleaning every six months kind of people. I not only come here now but so does my boyfriend and WE LOVE IT! HIGHLY RECOMMEND, GREAT SERVICE AND ALWAYS .... A CLEAN SMILE!!!!

Best holistic dentists within 500 miles! We travel an hour plus from Gainesville to Smart Dentistry because they are that good. They have the newest, most sophisticated equipment, like digital X-rays so exposure is minimal. On a personal note, I got the metal out of my mouth and my health improved dramatically.
