Green Home Design and Build was recommended by a respected heating and cooling company in Hood River, Oregon. Our goal was to reduce our carbon footprint in a tangible way to show personal responsibly for our earth and climate. Positive impact was felt immediately. The furnace for our historic, 2,400 square foot home immediately started running less while the temperature in the home rose to a comfortable degree.

This super insulated 2300 sq ft residence features beautiful recycled wood used in the cabinets, floors, and interior finish work. A solar hot water system, propane water heater, and radiant concret floor are tied together and form an efficient whole-house heating system. During construction, the owners pre-wired for a solar photovoltaic system, which is currently being installed.
The first draft of a Mosier Cabin study, with views of wildlife and wildflowers. The entry divides the common areas from the private master bedroom and bath, allowing ample room to entertain and keep an eye on the beautiful views this property affords. A recent study for a vacant lot over and up, in Underwood, WA.
Hidden among the trees in Hood River's west side, this custom home is in the first stages of construction. A break in the winter weather allowed for excavation, grading, and the stemwalls to be poured and Green Home is actively framing the floors and walls. The house was designed to take advantage of the natural features of the site while providing a courtyard in its center.

Green Homes were the only ones that finally came out to give us a bid on our gutters. Sergio was super professional and communicated well. I am glad they were available to install our gutters right before Winter came along. They worked and installed the gutters like it was their own home. I definitely would recommend them!

Project: Compete house LP siding removal and installation of Hardi-Plank
Project Date: December 2020
Our project was a complete siding removal and replacement with Hardi-Plank pre-painted lap siding (wood trim painted to match). The project also involved new gutters, some additional framing improvements, some crawl space excavation and a bit of roof repair.
Our overall rating of Tom and his crew is excellent. The project started late in year but his crew worked diligently without complaint through some pretty nasty weather to get the job done. Kevin, the lead carpenter and Oscar his co-carpenter
