In the mid-1980s Dr Clyde McDowell, then senior pastor of Mission Hills Church and soon to become president of Denver Seminary, conceived of a church extension ministry that would bring God's grace together with the best of clinical expertise to meet the mental health needs of people throughout the Colorado Front Range.
SCA offers a growing number of professional resources to complement our diverse specialties in psychotherapy. Counseling comprises a full spectrum of services including individual, couple, family and group counseling. We treat clients from preschool age up through end of life. Staff specialties cover most areas of mental health, including treatment for depression, bipolar disorder, PTSD, anxiety, OCD and marital problems.
