My girlfriend and I have been bringing our dogs to Aerowood Animal Hospital for the past two years and have received excellent care. Unfortunately, with COVID, and presumably being short staffed, the service and care for the past six months have been less than satisfactory.
We had scheduled our dog to be spayed one month prior to the procedure. Originally, I had asked if we could drop our dog off at 6:30 AM, prior to work. They reported that they could only accommodate a drop off time between 7:00 AM-7:30 AM. I was able to re-arrange my work schedule, and took time off, to accommodate for this

I have been taking my pets to Aerowood for over a decade. We recently adopted a new puppy from a rescue and she just had her first vet visit. Unfortunately our new puppy was not on her best behavior, which happens sometimes (with rescues especially). Dr. Murphy and the other staff were so patient and accommodating for her. I want to take the time to say you’re all doing a wonderful job and our family appreciates you immensely.

After what was a failed attempt at saving my cat they called me to let me know she didn’t make it. I want to clarify this is not warranting the one star. The one star comes from the 2 months it took for me to finally get my cats ashes back because they LOST or ‘misplaced’ my cats body. Extremely unprofessional, they didn’t send me the email to pick my cats urn and selected it for me. They lacked clear communication. I was extremely heart broken in this and their experience did not help at all. Not a great emergency hospital- speaking in terms of the ratio to lives saved vs dead and not

We've been going to Aerowood for years with different pets. They've always been great and reasonable. I appreciate the followup calls after procedures or illnesses

Despite all the great reviews I am so disappointed in the outcome of my cats situation and my experience. To make a long story short I came as an emergency because my cats ear swelled up really bad. The vet suggested she drain my cats hematoma ear at a second visit. After the procedure And all of the home instructions the next day the ear was swollen again and had only continued to swell more and more. Out of concern I called and asked if the cat can be seen and the front office told me to go somewhere else without consulting the vet about my cat. I asked her what about the follow up appointment

DO NOT BRING YOUR ANIMALS HERE. Hands down the rudest staff I've ever dealt with in my life. This is a veterinary hospital and these people that work here could care less about how they treat people or the animal's. This place should be shut down immediately. I was in a bind for another copy of my prescription card they prescribed me, my cats have urinary problems. I called thinking they could send me another copy of my card no problem because I was out of food and need the card to buy the food BOY WAS I WRONG. The lady told me it wasn't her problem i was out of food and he will

Aerowood was our desperation choice when all the emergency vets around us were at capacity or not able to take overnight patients. Staff was mostly rude/abrupt, with two nurses and Dr Smith being the only bright spots in the whole experience.

When Dr Smith went off-shift, we were called by Dr Murphy, who told us he hadn't reviewed our dogs file so he didn't know what the situation was, but that our dog would be ready to be discharged soon because they wouldn't have a doctor on staff that night for overnight care. They did not arrange a transfer to another hospital, which I understand

This is not a hospital! Unless you make your appointments after 630 ! I could not get my dog in for an appointment even tho she was bad. When I finally got her in they immediately put her into an oxygen chamber! Within 2 hours I was told that she had a tumor next to her heart pushing on her airway and I had to put her asleep! It broke my heart because they would not see her for an emergency. Sorry but emergency's are not on a time schedule. My dog suffered!!!!!

Very disappointed with my vet visit yesterday, and utterly dumbstruck by the cost.

We moved to the area shortly before the pandemic, so we had yet to have the opportunity to figure out a new primary care for our cats. One of our cats began urinating outside of the box frequently, which can be a potentially concerning sign, especially for male cats. We decided to give Aerowood a try, as it's near our home, and offers emergency services 24/7 if we ever needed such a thing.

The first phone call to set up the appointment was the tech or receptionist who answered the phone was very short with

We have an 18 months old cat, he seemed unwell and wasn't walking well and very tired. He has never been sick so we never needed an emergency vet.
My friend recommended Aerowood Animal hospital and has been taking her pets there for 20 years.
I rang them and really really appreciated their empathy to me as the mother of my cat so we went straight there.
Dr. Newberry and her staff were fantastic, they not only took great care of our cat but also took care of us which we really appreciate. We are very happy that it all worked out so well and also appreciated they used a soft cone not the hard

My pet DIED there a few weeks ago! This is the FIRST TIME IN MY ENTIRE LIFE I have NOT received a CONDOLENCE CARD from a practice on LOSING A PET! The CAT CLINIC of SEATTLE, back when it was owned and run by Dr. William Freitag, sent a FLOWER ARRANGEMENT to my home after I lost my (very) charismatic cat at the age of 6. Flowers are costly, but the LEAST THEY COULD DO is SEND A CARD, cheap and greedy CORPORATE cog they've become. It is my belief some of the unflattering reviews here came about as a result of CORPORATE ownership

Because his loss was unexpected for

Despite being full at the time, they helped as much as they could when my dog showed sign of concussion- I can't put into words how great they were. I felt educated, confident in how to handle observing my dog and what to do in certain scenarios.
In contrast, DO NOT go to Animal Emergency and Specialty!

We were able to get a same day appointment for our cat's swollen paw on a Saturday. Waiting until Monday would have been awful.
We were treated kindly, and didn't even receive a lecture about how we let our cat go outside!

What has happened to this fine physician-owned animal hospital? I cannot believe the sterile, snip reception I received from their Representative tonight over the phone.

My otherwise healthy cat had immunizations today at my normal feline vet clinic in Issaquah. My veterinarian refers her after hours concerns to Aerowood or Blue Pearl clinics. I've had such good 24/7 care at Aerowood throughout the years that I chose to call them, not Blue Pearl, about my cat who's clearly uncomfortable.

I was polite and my request was totally appropriate: "Is there anything I can safely give

My dog is beyond precious to me so when she woke me up at 5am shaking uncontrollably, panting, and stumbling around, I was on high alert. I bundled her into the car and poor thing couldn't even jump into the backseat like she normally does, so I lifted her up and got on the road. Aerowood is a quite a trek from downtown Seattle, but I had heard great things, knew they were open 24/7, and wanted to get my pup the best care possible. I called ahead and was for sure crying by the time I got there. The staff was very kind and got my dog in to be seen right away. The vet tech was kind and efficient

It would've been my first time visiting this Animal hospital due to my dog being disoriented (suggested by my Veterinarian due to his worsening condition). Always a sad and scary situation when an your Animal Child isn't their normal carefree and loving selves.
The gal on the phone had communicated as a new client the usual "try and be there 15 mins prior". Life happens and I had arrived in the parking lot 12 mins prior to apt. Then was able to connect to the receptionist 1 min later.

Me: Hi. I'm checking in for $:&;!:$&'

Receptionist: you're 7 mins

Dr Murphy alone makes this place amazing. My puppy was spayed and has her check ups here and I wouldn't go anywhere else. Dr Murphy was so sweet and constantly called us when she was spayed to let us know how she was doing. The staff took such great care of our little one and she was not traumatized from the experience at all! During her post op the staff was also very sweet and compassionate when I called at 11pm with a concern. This place made me feel so at ease. Highly recommend having your pet cared for here.

Our poor 16 year old miniature dachshund was in total agony with an abscessed tooth after waiting for Banfield to call us with an opening that never happened. So we were frantically looking for a vet to see him. After being turned away by 5 more vets we went to Aerowood & they graciously took him in & got him treated immediately. They were so thorough & caring & even gave us a $400 refund as the procedure was less than the deposit! Highly recommended them!!
