Overall he really helped with the pain I was having and I would certainly return. This is by far the best massage I've ever had, I've been there twice now and plan on returning for my future massage needs. The parlor is in a very strange and dungy building. However that not why the 1 star. There was no massage, because there was no one there. I arrived 5 minutes early and stayed 5 minutes late. I knocked nothing. A very uncomfortable place to wait for no back cracking! They even send out an email notice to remind you a day ahead. Apparently the email needs to go to them. I don't recommend this parlor!

Michael was professional and the massage was great. Very thorough and he checked in with me frequently to make sure I was comfortable. I like supporting small businesses and for the price- you can't beat it! I was a little bit nervous as a young woman knowing it wasn't a large business with many people there, but reading so many positive reviews helped and I wanted to contribute to that in case other people were in the same boat. Would recommend especially for people who have had massages before and know what to expect ahead of time. Thanks Michael!

Michael is great! It was an extremely relaxing massage, different from anything I've had before. Come here if you're looking to get your muscles treated and relax, not if you are looking for a frilly spa atmosphere. I'm always open to supporting small businesses, and you will not be disappointed with this massage! Will definitely be back.

Great service! I'm a nurse and I'm running around all day on my feet taking care of others, then go home to take care of my family. To be able to relax and pamper myself is always a great treat. Michael has exceptional professionalism and the atmosphere is heavenly. The massage was done with even pressure and he made sure to keep good communication throughout. I will definitely visit Hands Therapeutic Massage again. Definitely recommending him to my friends and family.

This is by far the best massage I've ever had, I've been there twice now and plan on returning for my future massage needs. If you are looking for a fancy spa with a receptionist and herbal tea and a bunch of products they're trying to sell you, this is not the place for you. Micheal runs his own business in a space he rents in a spa oriented building with other individuals making a living for themselves. His room is clean and very nice, don't be thrown off by the unconventional building. He is soft spoken but will always address any needs you have and make sure to focus on your problem areas.

1. Poor bedside manners. For example I requested he not work on my legs, he then responded that the massage would only be a half hour long (when I paid for a full hour). I requested he just spend more time on my back and neck instead and he curtly replied, "it's going to be 30 minutes."
2. The room smelled of weed definitely NOT incense.
3. I requested a deep tissue massage and not once felt deep pressure. Not only that but he used his forearms to run the length of my spine which quite frankly hurt but not in a therapeutic sense.

So far I've had 10 massages over a course of 14 days for after surgery post op care. Michael is very thorough, informative and knowledgeable on the lymphatic system. I couldn't imagine going anywhere else. He is really the best as I've tried other places and left disappointed. He takes care of my swelling, fluid and hardness. He enhances/shape my Liposculpture, It is money well spent, I sleep like baby and I will continue to go here. Highly recommend

Michael provided a very relaxing massage from start to finish for someone like me with a whiplash injury. It was gentle enough around the areas, but also therapeutic enough to alleviate my symptoms in the neck and upper back. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience and would recommend his services to anyone. The spa music that accompanies the session is a nice touch and his professional mannerisms make you feel safe. He asks for feedback during the massage and makes sure you are comfortable during the service.
