Jonathan Donenfeld, CPA, MSA, has more than a decade of experience in tax, accounting, and finance. He has held positions at leading accounting and consulting firms, most recently in the Private Client Tax Group at FTI Consulting Inc., providing tax and business advisory services to a variety of private companies and high net worth individuals.

All the reviews on this company's site are FAKE, and the owner of this company, Jonathan Donenfeld is a SCAM. I paid him 5K, to resolve my IRS tax debts and continued to get letter of seizures and levy of accounts. Each time I contacted JLD Tax and sent them copies of the letters, he told me to just ignore them and that he was on top of my account. Two months later I received a CERTIFIED letter from the IRS saying that they were seizing my property immediately. I then contacted the IRS myself, and come to find out, He had only contacted them once himself, and a second time, his assistant Nicole

Horrible experience all around. They messed up my return badly and I had to pay someone else to fix it. They refused to help or give me a refund for THEIR mistake. They wanted me to pay more money to even answer a question! Zero stars!!! The IRS sent me a letter stating they thought it was a fraudulent return because they didn't include the deducted amount I paid the prior year. Which I clearly stated in emails and it was on my return. Do not trust them with your return it caused a huge headache!!!

Our taxes are not uncomplicated. Yet, JLD has done a tremendous job since we switched to him a few years ago. We can highly recommend him for both personal and business taxes. And, I will say that he is so incredibly responsive to requests for information and documents, etc., that it would be impossible to be more responsive.

Had a very poor experience with this firm - made errors, oversights, and waited until the last minute to prepare taxes. Put us in a bad position. Invoice provided no details - very unprofessional when we politely asked for a breakdown (it just said 1 number, with no info). I went to them based on yelp reviews and I am now very suspicious of the authenticity of the positive reviews. Had a much better experience with HR block - thought this would be better for more personal, hands on review - but it was the complete opposite, and he clearly did not have the staff to handle the work.

I've been going to H&R Block for years and decided to try someone a little more specialized. I came across JLD on a random Google search and couldn't have been happier with my decision. Upon reading multiple positive reviews of JLD, I decided to give this place a chance last year. In all honesty, Jonathan was thoroughly professional while helping me file taxes. Jon is a fantastic accountant! I can't see myself not getting my taxes done here, especially if I'm still living right up the block. I was recommended to use JLD to file my tax returns by a friend. The owner was very attentive and responsive. I had so many questions for my tax returns this year because I just bought an apt. The owner not only helped me got a lot of money back, he also explained to me how the deductions and tax credits work patiently. My tax returns was also prepared and filed in a fast manner.
