Amber Insurance Services first opened its doors in 2010 by founder, Gurv S. Anand. Originally moving to Illinois in 1993 for an executive position with an employee benefits consulting firm, Gurv already had significant insurance industry experience as an actuarial consultant. When the opportunity arose to start an entrepreneurial enterprise, Gurv was excited to share his knowledge and expertise with his clients.

Commercial automobile insurance policies provide the equivalent basic coverage of a personal auto policy, with the exception that ownership is held by a corporation. My father and mother have insurance here and named me as a driver of the car. I asked the owner of the company, Gerv, for an insurance card because I drive my elderly parents around and they didn't remember getting any information about this company. Gerv told me that he didn't have to give me any information or show me respect because the car wasn't in my name and that he had to go to a meeting and he hung up on me.
