Oakbrook Family Dentistry, P.C. is dedicated to providing excellence in dental care, personal service, and education to enable our patients to achieve and maintain their oral health throughout life. Oakbrook Family Dentistry was founded in 1982 by Dr. Thomas Janecek and his wife, Sharon. The Janeceks chose the name "Oakbrook" after the name for the then newly-developing Oakbrook Area in Dorchester County where our practice is located.
Dr. John Poole has been a practicing general dentist for fifteen years. He was inspired to pursue a career in dentistry by the caring dentists he knew in his family and home community of Denmark, SC. He earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biology at Washington and Lee University in 1997, and graduated from the College of Dental Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina in 2002.

Bonding is a popular method to enhance the aesthetics of your smile. Bonding can be used to correct cracks or gaps in teeth, as a filling after a cavity has been removed, or to cover up stains or discolored teeth. A composite resin is used on the affected tooth or teeth. It is molded and sculpted over an adhesive gel that is placed on the tooth.

Dr Poole and his staff are always so friendly, and so accommodating. I have been coming to this practice since Dr. Janecek was the dentist. My children love this office. The staff have literally watched them grow up. I even convinced my husband to switch over when his dentist retired. They will take great care of you and your teeth!!!

I love my dentist!! This office is so amazing from the receptionist to the hygienist to the dentist!!! I love the connection I have with my hygienist. We talk family and events and I love that it is so comfortable going there from day one. I was going there when I lived in Summerville. I live in Moncks Corner now and I still drive there because I love the service. The health of my teeth and gums matter to Dr Poole and Staff. Thank you all you are the best!!!
