Meet the experienced and friendly dentist and staff who make Martin Family Dentistry the leading provider of oral hygiene and personalized dental services in Santa Barbara. Born and raised in Laguna Niguel, California Dr. Martin is proud to say that he is a seventh generation Californian.
Dr. Martin received his Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from UCSB, then continued his education at the USC where he received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery.Following dental school Dr. Martin ran and managed his own successful dental practice in Dallas, Texas. Ultimately, however, he decided that Texas was not for him and chose to move back to be with his family and friends in California.

Dr. Martin and his staff are an amazing team, very professional and courteous. Dr. Martin has gone above and beyond, fitting me in on his lunch for my emergency dental needs, just to ensure I wasn’t in pain. His staff is very knowledgeable and professional at all times, making my dental experience as pleasant as possible. Great place and very welcoming place to go for your dental care.

Dr Martin and his staff are great! Friendly folks, clean facilities, good pain management, prompt followup, and the right amount of ongoing communications all make going to the dentist as painless as possible. The level of care for a given situation always seems to be appropriate--not too aggressive/pricey and not too lackadaisical. I've been going there for four years and will continue doing so!

Oh man! Do you suffer from odontophobia like I do? Well, suffer no more. Dr. Martin and his staff are amazing. It took me two years to finally decide to see a new dentist and 20 minutes to get out of my car once I got into the parking lot! Yesterday, Dr. Martin made the visit oh-so-easy!!!!!
Are you a photography tech geek? Then, Dr. Martin will also expose you to his cool flashy camera and will give you an up close and personal introduction to your teeth and gums.
On a more serious note, your oral health is very important, so get in to see a good dentist. Dr. Martin won't disappoint

Normally I don't really worry about the dentist. I just need a cleaning every six months, make sure it's all okay and move on....
Except when I broke a tooth in a bike accident. That was not something I was prepared for and it happened the day before Valentine's Day - and I'm a florist!
I was able to get in by noon, have my tooth fixed in an hour (!) and still had plenty of time to take care of all of my flower business too. Dr. Martin and his staff took really great care of my teeth, the assistant was so nice and helped me feel less uptight about my first-ever dental emergency

I've spent a lot of time with many dentists over the years and Dr. Martin stands out above them all. He doesn't "prospect for gold" as many do, but creates a customized, realistic treatment plan based on real needs. He's thorough, confident and efficient with great steady hands and a warm friendly personality that keeps you at ease at all times - takes the fear out of going to the dentist! I've followed Dr. Martin and have been a patient of his for at least six years as have many other members of my family.
