Services
Unlike many other restaurants, the Maplewood III is not a franchise or an impersonal chain. It is the culmination of the dreams and work of Howard Esposito and goes back many years. Howard was inspired by a dedication to quality and service, which has continued to the present. His dedication to quality and service paid off very quickly.
Over the years, Howard has been the driving force of Maplewood III. His dedication to quality and service quickly got him great reviews from customers as well as food critics. This helped to build a very busy restaurant trade at both locations. The Vineland restaurant was an instant success and is the largest of the Maplewoods, seating as many as 175.

Sadly disappointed! Every time I come back home we always go to dinner and love it, this time I feel like a diner would have been a better option. I have worked in the food scene across the country and hate saying bad thing about restaurants , Especially now between product shortage , labor issues, and of course everyone being a foodie. The waiter was the best part of the meal, the clams casino were ehh,the bisque was wallpaper thick and tasted as if it was the bottom of the baine , the stuffed peppers were horrible, sauce tasted scorched and the bigest thing to drive me crazy was the busser with

The food is good but it is sometimes a hit or miss. I had prime rib recently which was fantastic but the greenbeans were so over cooked that they were shriveled up. The desserts are just ok. The drinks are great. Try the pomegranate martini!

WOW!! That's all I can say!! I call to make a reservation and the person so rudely says No! I asked again what did you say?? No?? He repeats OH NO!! I was shocked and in disbelief!! I am guessing you don't need my business and are doing so well you can turn away new restaurant goers!! Well thanks for nothing but here is your unfavorable review for others to read! Remember who pays your bills. Very unhappy customer

We made a last minute reservation Sunday 10.17.2021 to celebrate a huge life event. Our server was so pleasant and accommodating. We had lump crab cocktail, scallops and crab in white sauce over home made pasta, lobster and crab scampi over home made pasta. We took a dark side of the moon to go. The food was beyond delicious. The lobster in my scampi dish was like butter. The sauce on the pasta was fantastic. Great food and service on a special day.

So first I want to say I never leave reviews but this meal and experience was horrible. Let’s start with the salad. I love salad dressing however not 2 inches of salad dressing sitting in the bottom of the bowl. It was like eating lettuce smothered in oil. My entree, Chicken Frances was worse than a microwave meal. It was so salty, including the noodles and string beans. I ate half of it only out of absolute hunger. My husbands lamb chops tasted like the entree was pepper. The server presented my food to the table next to me on my right and then also brought a second dessert and no coffee to

Was visiting Vineland, a place I have not frequented before, and needed a place for dinner for myself and a group of friends. Was recommended to try this local favorite and was not disappointed. With a warm welcoming staff and a broad based menu, there was something for everyone and we all found each dish well prepared.

My husband and I love Maplewood III of Vineland. We have been going there for years for quiet dinners, birthday and anniversary celebrations, and several private parties for special family get-togethers. The food and drinks are ALWAYS delicious, the waitstaff are friendly and accommodating, and Lisa and Kenny are always around to keep a smooth running restaurant. The atmosphere is relaxing and romantic. The dining room and bar are beautifully decorated. Maplewood III is always our first choice when going to dinner. Very highly recommended.

Came here with a group of 8 on a Saturday. It wasn't busy and we had a reservation. The environment was nice, the bread was fresh baked, house salad was delicious. We ordered a dozen oysters and they were not fresh/low quality. Their filet mignon and lobster bisque were cooked well and tasty. The portions of the food were large and filling some people can share. Between 3 people we ordered capellini, shrimp and lobster scampi both w gluten free spaghetti. We were excited to try their homemade pastas however when they came, the GF pastas were barely cooked - hard and some were stuck together

Ordered 4 takeout dinners on a Saturday night for pickup at 6pm. I arrived 10min early and paid. Everyone was friendly and upbeat. The place was busy. The girls were hustling to get people seated and get the numerous takeout orders ready to go.
Dinner was delicious. My Joes Special Pasta was tasty and had fresh seafood. The portion was generous. My dad liked his veal- it had three pieces. He had requested to get veal piccata but had to stick to the menu. My mom liked the crab cake. There is one to an order. The entire order was packaged well.
The salad had too much iceberg lettuce ratio to other

First time I've been here in 5 years and it is exactly the same. Even the same silk flowers in the holders! Our waitress was very nice. The food was good. For the expense, the food should have been remarkable. The entire experience was average. I don't think I'll go back again, not because anything was bad, but because when I get to go out I want it to be excellent. This was not.

Espisito Maplewood III - The customer service by the owner was horrible. I ordered Rack of Lamb medium well. I cut my rack & clearly blood came out of my food & was running into my sweet mashed & on my broccoli. My coworker ordered medium rare filet & I ordered medium well. It was obvious that the chef mixed two meat orders. The waiter apologized & took both back. My problem was when the manager brings my same plate back with the bloody juice swirling into my veggies to convince me that my lamb was cooked 'right' & to then give me a lesson on medium well with

Hmmm, over two years later -- came back to this restaurant for my mother's birthday dinner. My experience was not as pleasant as I remembered the last time.

Made reservations on OpenTable for a table of 6. Called in advance to see if they can give my mom dessert and sing HBD (which they did; thanks Eddie)!

Maplewood decided to sit our table of 6 right next to the restroom (in the back corner). People were constantly in and out; a lot of traffic by our table. When we realized the restroom was right there (after being settled for several mins) -- they stated that there's no other tables

We were passing thru Vineland and the hotel clerk recommended them. This place was superb. We ordered Eggplant Parm with a side of linguini, Spaghetti and Meatballs, and the wife had a glass of house Pinot Grigio. Salad came with the meal and it was the best salad that I've eaten in a long time -- fresh, great dressing. The entrees were homemade and delicious. Nothing out of a can for these recipes. The marinara sauce was excellent. No dessert was attempted. Out the door for about $35; very reasonable for two great Italian dinners.

Wonderful meal last night. Tables are spaced, so we felt completely safe. All of us loved our meals. Rack of lamb was absolutely delicious, as were the seafood entrees. Wish I could figure out the recipe for the house vinaigrette, it is so light and tasty. Our thanks to our server Dan, who timed things impeccably. He delivered each diner's appetizer separately when they were finished with their salad. During covid, this is a place we can still dine out

Tonight was my first time here and everything was perfect. It's decorated really nice for Christmas and our server Dan completely exceeded our expectations for a family birthday dinner. The food was really good and it is such a nice and cozy atmosphere. My party had seafood (scallops), a rib eye special, and crab cakes. Everything was delicious and prepared well. Can't wait to go back! They accept reservations and I would suggest you make them ahead of time.

Ate here for dinner with my friends and it wasn’t as good as I had hoped. The food was honestly okay. Not very flavorful and didn’t taste very fresh. Overall, had a nice experience. We ordered the stuffed mushrooms as an appetizer and I could’ve done without the cheese sauce on top. The shrimp dar diavolo was also just okay. The pieces of shrimp were nicely sized, though. I do think the place is well kept and the ambiance inside is pleasant.

Just left The Maplewood restaurant in Vineland and could not get to my phone out fast enough to leave a review! My has this restaurant gone down in quality. This was the worst visit ever, the service by Joe was great, but the quality of the food and the riff raff back of the house employees made this visit horrible. If felt like we were sitting at a comedy club with the employees cracking jokes with one another and laughing loudly. We could barely hear ourselves talk. The food was under seasoned as it was the last time I was there. I was looking forward to this dinner so much, needless to say I

Upon arrival, the restaurant was packed. Looks like this is a go to spot for dinner in south jersey! It has such an inexplicable South Jersey family dinner feel.

I was pleasantly surprised because I had a great experience here at Maplewood III. We were a party of 12 celebrating an anniversary dinner. Our server was excellent in accommodating all of us and explaining the specials. Also she was very helpful in making suggestions based on dietary restrictions and preferences. The Maplewood, a staple in Vineland for years, maybe 30 or more. The food is usually very good, although the freshness of the seafood is questionable and that is from their staff. You can't go wrong with the veal parmigiana, always delicious! The interior was recently updated, yet the old lamps remain, maybe it's nostalgia. The bread, dipping sauce and salad really stand out and different from anywhere else. I like the restaurant, but there a few things that bother me other than the lamps, they open at 4 but don't expect to sit where you want as some tables are held for the

This is our favorite Italian place in the area! They start you out with warm bread and oil for dipping and family-style salad. My go-to dish is the gnocchi with sausage. It's phenomenal. My grandparents swear by the veal parm that is fork-tender. Service is always very friendly as well.

I heard about this place and saw they had seafood,so I decided to check out. When I walked in, it felt like I had stepped into a time machine. The restaurant had a really old feel to it. I'm not sure if that was by design, but it definitely felt like I was in another decade.
My food was okay, but the batter that was used for my soft shell crab and oysters were different that what I'm used to. I also ordered a cup of lobster bisque that was average.
They serve complimentary bread with this dipping sauce, made with olive oil, that is really good. The service was good, the food was okay

Definitely a local favorite. You could tell this was one of the original supper clubs. Plenty of food, high quality seafood and very reasonably priced. Our server Dave was good, but we're still waiting for a vodka martini. He may have been confused when we also ordered a bottle of wine. My stuffed lobster tail was excellent. The staff was very friendly. They have large portions and seem to specialize in seafood and Italian cuisine. Quite a large variety on the menu.

Maplewood III is an Italian restaurant with its food appearing to have a Southern Italian influence as its base but with the added advantages of combing it with local New Jersey fresh seafood and produce. Its founder, Howard Esposito, had it spot on correct when he said "The restaurant business is a 1,000 little things that must all be done properly in order to ensure success," and Maplewood III proves his point.

It's rather large very busy restaurant, but has a comfortable, enjoyable atmosphere about it with staff help being totally knowledgeable as well as professional. For my
