Services
Since 1995, Applied Engineering has provided engineering for commercial, institutional, and industrial facilities. Our deliverables include construction document preparation, investigative studies, energy analysis, and construction observation. Completed projects are of all sizes and complexities, from small commercial buildings to very large industrial facilities.
Applied Engineering has a long project resume, having completed well over 1,000 projects since its founding. We work in diverse markets, always striving to deliver quality design at a competitive fee. Our knowledge of the mechanical disciplines is backed up by knowledge and experience with construction techniques and processes.
Today's multi-family projects can be a real challenge from an HVAC standpoint. Smaller apartments, especially those located on the North side of the building, have a small cooling load, sometimes as little as 0.6 to 0.8 tons. We all know that oversizing air conditioning units is bad for humidity control, but manufacturers are simply not designing and manufacturing units that are small enough to serve today's energy code driven buildings.
