I had my house appraised by Bowden and from the beginning with the scheduler to the end with the appraiser was nothing but a smooth process. Would recommend Bowden to any of my friends looking for an Appraisal. Very fast and efficient!

I received an email to schedule an appraisal. I contacted the scheduler and expressed the urgency of getting my appraisal done. I am only waiting on the appraisal to close.
The scheduler made a point that the appraiser only comes to my area once per week. She scheduled the appraisal for the following week (today).
I just found out that without contacting me, the scheduler contacted the builder and rescheduled for days later.
This is an empty new construction home.
This is unacceptable.

Very professional, very timely, very thorough with communication. Even in the pouring wet cold rain nothing could stop Eric Bowden from strapping on his rain boots, and grabbing his Mary Poppins Umbrella and clip board to get the task at hand completed!

We consulted with Eric Bowden after designing custom house plans. He gave us input and we made changes according to his suggestions. Those changes resulted in a 400K increase in valuation! Eric was incredibly responsive, answering phone after hours or responding to a weekend email. Eric’s knowledge, expertise, and his ability to make complicated things understandable are what made our experience great.

Appraisal was $30,000 lower than asking price!! Inept. Arrogant. Lazy. Wrong number of rooms, missed uppgrades, wrong comps from wrong subdivision. Refused to change. Second appraiser came in on target.

Lack of timeliness on turning in appraisal reports - surpassing standard 7-10 day turnaround. I've been in real estate industry over a decade and have never seen such blatant disregard for buyer's time frames. No reason for delay or accountability for reasonable professionalism.

To start they report Tax/title info from HAR/MLS rather than the county Title/Tax/Appraisal offices!! In my case the information they pulled from HAR/MLS was incorrect I notified them. A secondary physical Appraisal had to be done because the lender didn't not communicate this was for an FHA loan. I was told by Kim that the appraiser has to go back out to the property to do another appraisal from scratch. Missed an entire bathroom in the appraisal. I fIlled out a dispute form and they never reconciled their mistake. They would never even return my calls. I have sold over 15 investment properties and this was my first experience with Bowden Appraisal Group and this was the worst appraisal I have ever received.

They do nothing more then drive by appraisals. They spent only 30 minutes in my home and asked zero questions even when I asked him if he had any and told him the other appraisar asked 30 minutes worth of questions and spent 90 minutes in our home. But the Bowden appraiser told me that he does enough of these and knows what he is looking at. Our relocation company required two appraisals, Bowden's appraisal came in 10.6% lower then the other one, forcing us to get a third appraisal and the average of the three. I have used the Bowden Appraisal Group many times when there is a discrepancy with square measurements of a house. As a Realtor, it's very important that the square footage is accurate when listing a home. Eric and Mike are very professional and have always given me great advice. I would highly recommend them!
