Services
At Buckingham, our standard is to push the standard. We take a custom approach to all of our projects, big or small. Real estate is an investment and it's our number one priority to maximize that investment. Through expertise, research, and inspired design, we create a personalized experience for residents and guests.
We work hard to improve lives and build communities. That's why we founded Buckingham Foundation in 2006. We work to create a positive change in affordable housing, community and economic development as well as the arts and culture. Our team members care about the communities that they work in, and the numbers prove it.
We got our start in multifamily development. For more than 30 years now, we've built on that experience to become a full-service real estate company complete with professional real estate investment and development services that stack up against anyone in the industry. We take on a variety of challenging projects and incorporate our passion for great environments into everything that we do.
Construction is more than blueprints and building parts. It's about understanding a project's unique vision and guiding that vision from start to finish on time and on budget. Our construction process relies on decades of experience from long tenured field staff coupled with over 200 years of combined expertise in multifamily, mixed-use, and commercial construction from our senior leadership and project managers.
We have a strong customer focused team in place that help us take on any and all challenges maximizing results. We assess the market. We develop long-term revenue growth plans. We monitor and measure success for clients. But, most importantly, we manage each property with the right amount of care and attention necessary to maximize stakeholder return and achieve owner objectives.

You couldn't pay me enough to work for this shady, ill managed company. I've seen the way they treat their employees and it's not good. I've got some doozies of some stories to share about one of their properties, in particular (here's looking at you, MaG). Watch this space for updates to be added soon. FULL DISCLOSURE: I work in the industry (albeit, for a much better company). Some of the crap they pull with their employees would blow your mind. There's a reason for the consistently bad reviews of this company, people. If you're considering working here

It's a high-school type of working environment led by shallow and uneducated people. The units are decent and reasonably priced as you first move in, but maintenance throughout the company is shaky at best. Not my first or even last choice for apartment living. Kittle properties in my opinion are far more equipped and knowledgeable for anyone looking for an apartment.

I lived at one of their properties over 12 years. I had expected to stay even longer but when Buckingham took over, the complex was handcuffed by the property management in Indianapolis and I felt it was time to move.

I am a resident at City Way downtown. I have made multiple complaints to management and no one ever gets back to me. We pay $150/month for parking and half of the time the garage is filled and I have to park on the street. What am I paying for????? I have also had TWO packages go missing from the mail room in the last two weeks, and again management does not address the issue or offer any sort of solution. I pay way too much money for them to ignore these complaints.

I want to take the time to respond to Jaime petrellas review. Whetstone flats is an amazing apartment complex to live in. Through out the pandemic they have followed all cdc guidelines to keep their employees and residents safe. The office team is very communicative and responds in a timely fashion. The maintenance team does a wonderful job making sure everything in the apartment is working smoothly. Please don’t let one bad apple in the community discredit the hard work the whetstone team does.

Scammers! I applied to one of their properties and was told if denied they would refund money to card used. Once they got back to me without even processing my app they then told me money would be sent out via check 30-45 days later. The leasing agent was kind and then became very rude in her responses. I’m moving my family from Ohio to Georgia and dealing with people like this is terrible.

Like everyone else has stated, this place is a complete joke and the poor communication is not a silo’d concern at just one complex.. The new property managers over Union at Berkley don't have a pulse on anything going on, and they don't care to have any involvement whatsoever. Ive sent in numerous photos of the place being very unkept, and no one cares. After escalating some concerns to the office, not getting a response, then escalating to the Regional Manager (Justin Few) and Regional VP (Tina Hamor) of Buckingham Companies, I felt like I was finally getting some traction. That slowly fizzled

I have only lived in this apartment complex for 4 months. I have had numerous issues with the management and maintenance of the property.
Poor heat ... was told to just close the vents, locked out of garage was advised that they couldn’t do anything and I had to wait even though I had to go to work, water leaking from heater- they knocked a hole in my wall and left it not repaired forever.
GAS LEAK I was advise that I was just worried and to leave my apartment smelling like gas and then gas company them selves came out and found ALOT of this time to give citations for ... as well as fixed my

Take heed to the warnings.
The building that I live in is beautiful but they do the bare minimum to keep up with it. The porch is sloping. The bricks are basically falling apart but they say that they would have to kick me out of my unit to redo the whole brick wall. The floors are uneven. They say they’re trying to keep up with the original look but they are just being cheap skates.
Calling your property manager is a joke. Calling the hotline is a joke as well all they will do is take your phone number and name and no one will ever return a phone call. This is one of the worst managed companies

We had an similar experience where as the $50 application payment was made, along with the $5 credit card processing fee. In addition to this amount we went ahead and paid the processing fee of $150, being assured that an apartment would be available with date given at that time. The application was turned down and not accepted. We attempted to ask for the processing part of the fee back ($150), knowing they would rightfully keep the $50 application and $5 credit card fees. We have been denied as of currently and would like to get this resolved as soon as possible. Other apartment complexes have
