Val attended UVSC and graduated with a bachelor's degree in Accounting in 2004. He then went on to attain a Masters of Business Administration degree with an emphasis in Accounting in 2006 from Utah State University. He became a Certified Public Accountant in 2008 after meeting the rigorous testing and experience requirements.
