In business since 1989, Civil Services, Inc. (CSI) has become one of the leading Small Business Enterprises in the Southeastern United States. CSI is a Jacksonville, Florida based multi-disciplined civil engineering consulting firm with branch offices in Riviera Beach, Atlanta, and Augusta.

CSI has provided civil engineering design services for a wide range of clients throughout the Southeast. These services include Roadway, Bridge Design, Structural Engineering, Water Resources, Value Engineering, Civil Site Design, Program Management, and CEI. These projects have included site development, storm water conveyance and treatment, potable water and sanitary sewer/pump stations, dams, levees, sidewalk improvement, and ADA upgrades.
This project consisted of the development of the new 800,000 SF Duval County Courthouse in downtown Jacksonville, FL. CSI was a team member for the second iteration of design for the Duval County Courthouse. As part of the design package, potable water, sanitary sewer, and storm drainage utilities were designed and are being constructed.
Existing two-lane bridge was replaced with twin bridges each carrying two lanes of traffic and a shared path over McGirts Creek. Included accommodations for decorative lighting and associated pedestal; continuous flat slab design with raised sidewalk/shared path; bridge overtopping for 100-year storm event.
Replacement of existing two-lane bridge over Julington Creek with fourlane bridge incorporating center turn lane, sidewalks and bike lanes. Utilities consisted of 24" and 16" force mains which had to remain in service during construction. A mechanical splice system for the reinforcement between construction phases was utilized due to the close proximity of Phase I construction to the existing bridge.
