Services
Excellent chiropractic care and patient service is at the heart of what we do. Dr. Portela began serving Clermont and the greater Orlando area in 2015. People have traveled across the state and even country, to receive care in search of answers to their health conditions. Daily endeavors can often cause damage to your spine and nervous system.
Daniella is the friendly face that handles back-office daily operations. Having grown up in Clermont, she is thankful to the community for welcoming Balanced Spine Center with arms open. Daniella studied and obtained a bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management and Sports/Event Management at Florida International University.
The NUCCA technique encompasses a gentle and specific correction with the goal to achieve and maintain your body in a balanced state at Balanced Spine Center. Nerves in your spinal column are very sensitive to pressure and stress. When nerves are compromised, they cannot conduct their normal functions throughout the body.
Before care begins we want to be certain that we understand what your needs are. This will be accomplished by a detailed consult, followed by a precise examination. The examination is comprised of a review of your health history, postural examination, gravity stress analysis and digital x-rays, if necessary.

Its out of pocket which is fine however they are NOT transparent in their costs. I could not get an answer as to how much subsequent necessary adjustments cost per session after the first adjustment. No matter if the Dr recommends 4 or 10 there's still a cost PER adjustment. Not being able to tell me that did not put my trust in this company.

My husband and I just returned from my first appointment with Dr. Portela. WOW! This doctor is nothing short of AMAZING!
First, Dr. Portela is very kind; he is also a great listener and he is extremely intelligent. He makes you feel very comfortable, right away, and explains things very well. I will learn more at my next appointment when he goes over the x-rays, etc., but I am already VERY ENCOURAGED that God is going to use THIS doctor to help me be healed from all the extreme BP and HR spikes I have been having for more than 1 YEAR, including the pounding that has been taking place in the lower

Being a golf professional and injuring my back in 1982 I have spent over 30 years looking for a cure to my pain. I tried everything including multiple Doctors and back institutes, chiropractors, massage centers, and physical therapists. Most offered some relief but never long term. I am in pretty good shape and do back exercises every morning of the week for 45 minutes just so I could move the rest of the day. Jose told me after seeing my x-rays and listening to my story that he could cure me, and he did. After six months my body started to feel different. I can play golf with no pain, as well

Always a great experience. We previously saw 3 chiropractors and none corrected my sons foot that was turned inward. Dr. Portela corrected it in a few visits and eventually graduated OT early thanks to his help. 3 of us now live in less pain because of him. Office is always friendly and accommodating.

The Balanced Spine Center NUCCA Office, Doctor and Staff are Top Notch. I would give it 10 stars if I could 😊. If you are considering NUCCA care and have done your research, I have no doubt you will be more than satisfied with the care and professionalism this office gives. If you have received NUCCA from another Doctor, Dr Portela will exceed your expectations. This is my third NUCCA Doctor because we have relocated twice in the last 3 years (Ohio, Texas and now Florida). Dr. Portela is very thorough beginning with the first consultation. At every appointment he is attentive to all my symptoms

Best chiropractor in Florida! I HIGHLY recommend this chiropractic office. Dr. Portela has the best bedside manners and is one of best listeners I have ever had in the medical field. He is very careful with NO snap, crackle or pop on your neck or back!

I have been to chiropractors all over the country and Doctor Jose is by far the best. In the NUCCA world he is also the best. He has the leading edge diagnostic equipment. My mother has improved 1000% and she was headed toward a walker and eventually a wheelchair at 85. Now she is walking again, gardening and going to events with her friends.
