One of the most common types of orthopedic lameness that we see is rupture of the Cranial (Anterior) Cruciate Ligament (ACL). Factors such as anatomy, obesity, athleticism, degeneration of the ligaments, and arthritis probably all play a role in this disease process. Dogs, like humans, can develop bad knees, especially in their senior years.
Endoscopy is a medical procedure whereby a flexible tube is used to examine the inside of the GI tract. Endoscopy allows a non-invasive visual examination of internal organs and body parts without needing exploratory surgery. The endoscope enters the body and is manipulated via control knobs located on a hand piece.

Took our guinea pig in and they are so knowledgeable on them. I feel like small animals are often overlooked so it’s such a relief to find a vet who fully understands their needs and cares. They also gave us a folder with helpful information about our pet. It really felt above and beyond.

I was looking for a new avian vet since ours moved out of town. I called Dupont and asked about their pricing for bird grooming. She told me that wings, beak, and nails were around $16 each (already expensive compared to Pine Valley, which charged $30 total) and that they insisted on a $60 pet exam (which I never had to do anywhere else and, if I understood right, they make you do once a year) but that the grooming would be included in the exam fee. I should have looked elsewhere, but I decided to give them a try. She made me pay the $60 over the phone but said I would not be charged anything at

My cat was literally dying and fort wayne pet hospital where I have been taking all of my cats for 20 plus years refused to help me because I had not been there in a few years. I called several vet offices to help me and most of them turned me away saying schedule is full or not accepting new clients. Dupont veterinarian was the only place that helped me with open arms despite there full schedule. They got me in immediately had to amputate my cats leg. They were very caring and helped me out in every way possible. I recommend this place to everyone! Big thanks to them for saving my cat! You all

I'm so thankful that I've found this vet office. Last year, when my old cat started vomiting suddenly, they were the only one that could get her in and taken care of. Then my second cat decided getting into a fight with another street cat was a good idea, Dupont, again, was the only place that could get her in on such short notice. I now regularly go to them with my concerns and am very pleased with their service and vet techs. Its such a relief to have such a reliable office for my little ones.

The best vet we’ve been to in the Fort Wayne area! We just moved to the area last year and began searching around for vets, and nobody has shown as much love and care for our animals. Both of the vets we have seen (Dr. Harry and Dr. Boxberger) as well as all of the other staff are amazing, you can tell they really care about your pets as if they were their own.

I am new to this area and just found this place. I took my dog and she was treated very well. The staff and Doctors are very professional and knowledgeable in the care of my dog. My dog was very comfortable here and didn't even put up any nervous signals. She was happy here. This review is for Dr. Trubey. I tried to make an apt with her and learned she moved! This review is long overdue. My cat, Lionel, was a patient of hers in CA. My cat had pretty severe burns from climbing up in the engine compartment of car - Dr. Trubey was so calm and knowledgeable throughout the entire ordeal that spanned over 2 months. She was always available when Lionel needed to come in and kept me informed throughout the process and during his surgery. He healed perfectly, like nothing ever happened and I attribute his well being to her expertise! I wish she was still in CA and could not

We cannot say enough how much we appreciate Dupont Veterinary clinic. We moved to Fort Wayne 2 years ago. We are experienced rabbit parents and needed a veterinarian that specializes in small animal care. It is difficult to find a veterinarian that is knowledgeable in rabbit care. We needed a veterinarian that understood that our rabbit is a member if our family. Rabbits are social animals that do not belong in a cage. Absolutely love Dupont vet. Each staff member is kind and loving to my animals and myself. The veterinarian calls me herself to speak with me. They are just excellent. The only thing I do not like is the prices. It's super expensive. The staff DOES tell you in advance the fees so you aren't surprised with a huge bill though. Definitely recommend.

I absolutely love this vet! A year ago, I rescued a cat and the shelter included this clinic as a part of their waived visit fee. I am so happy I brought him here! Being my first time owning a cat, I often have questions and just want to assure that his behavior is normal and they are so welcoming and knowledgeable whenever I call. They are honest and upfront about if I should bring him in or not, which shows their integrity. Being a college student, I do not have a huge amount of money, but obviously will take him in if needed, but they are honest and let me know signs to watch out for! The ladies

The staff is very kind and friendly! The doctors are kind and friendly as well. I've had appointments with Dr. Rietdorf who is awesome! She wasn't available one day, so I had an appointment with Dr. Boxberger who was just as awesome! The staff didn't mind my high energy dog wanting to give them kisses. My dogs love them! The building is well kept and very clean for animals being in and out all day.

2 days ago we had to make the extremely difficult decision to say goodbye to our cat of about 12 years. He was a part of our family, and although we loved him, we knew it was time. I am updating my review to reflect this process.

I was looking for a second opinion for my 13 year old Golden Retriever. When I called to make the appointment, I spoke with a very kind, compassionate staff member. She was able to get us in right away. The office is beautiful and clean. Everyone at the front desk was so friendly and the vet assistants are amazing! The vet gave her the exam, test and treatment that I was seeking. I walked out of the exam room relieved and appreciative that she was getting the care she needed. My pet is not a patient there...however, my cat recently underwent declaw surgery and a couple days before her scheduled surgery, I was a nervous wreck. I called DuPont simply to hear another opinion & inquire about laser declaw. The girl I talked to was SO kind and reassuring. I can't begin to say how much of a relief it was to talk to her. She asked me questions, inquired about my cat, and never once tried to tell me that my vet was inferior to theirs, she simply confirmed that it was exactly what their clinic would do, and everything would work out just fine.

Helpful and friendly service all around. Being new to the area, I chose a vet office near by to take my dog to. I made an appointment with Dr. Schaefer, who turned out to be very kind and informative. Everyone I spoke to - the receptionists, vet assistants, and Dr. Schaefer - had wonderful customer service skills. They answered all my questions and even sent me home with some free samples to try! The facility is also very nice and has a good selection of pet products to choose from with reasonable prices.

My experience at this clinic has been excellent. Dr. Boxberger treated my rabbit when he started to get sick. She was professional and compassionate. She was also very informative about all the stages and cost of treatment. Additionally, she was willing to answer all my questions and she was willing to talk to me over the phone to follow-up. The staff is also professional. When my rabbit passed away, Dr. Boxberger called me to express her sympathies and I received a card signed by the staff. What a fabulous Veterinary Clinic!! I've worked in the Veterinary field as a receptionist for 8 years so I hold a pretty high standard to care/customer service. My parents moved to Fort Wayne recently so finding just as good as a vet clinic as they had in FL was very important.

The staff was wonderful. Took my cat this morning because she was having difficulty breathing and they got us in right away despite not having an appointment. Discovered she has an enlarged heart and possibly congestive heart failure. They gave us many treatment offers and stayed late so she could be in an oxygen chamber for a few hours. The staff showed compassion and gave us hope when most vets wouldn't. They want to help save her life as much as I do.
