Dr. James (Jim) Hamilton Eaker (pronounced like acre) is a 1985 graduate of the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry in Chapel Hill, and completed his undergraduate degree at UNC. He was President of his dental class and received the faculty award for excellence in General Dentistry and the Class award for sensitivity to the needs of classmates.

At 73 years of age I've had a large number of Dentists over my lifetime. Not a single one of them can shine Jim Eaker's shoes!! Yes, he is a great Dentist, but going to his office, with his loving staff, will let you know you are with a very blessed group of people! People who love their jobs and grateful to serve.

Dr. Eaker is a kind and skilled dentist. Since I was young, I have always had major problems with my teeth. Not only did I need multiple cavities filled, but over the years, I have had numerous root canals.
Through these difficult years, Dr. Eaker and staff took incredible care of me. I can remember sitting in his chair weeping at the pain I was in and the cost of it all. He showed compassion and always took my financial hardship into account whenever considering a treatment plan.
If you have any trepidation about seeing a dentist, there is no need if you go here. I promise.

Tired of the assembly line dental care? Have special issues to be cared for in a custom manner? Please consider the team at Dr. Eaker's dental office, where everyone is courteous, friendly, professional and extremely competent. You receive the time and care you need, whether it is your regular cleaning or a special procedure. They actually look and see you. No pressure tactics either, which is a big relief.

What a welcoming and thorough dental office! The staff is very friendly and the Dr. Humble spent an amazing amount of time with me as a new patient. They do a great job of putting your mind at ease about dental procedures and they certainly seem to be on top of the latest technology in the industry! I've been with Dr. Eaker for a few years now. He is kind and caring and a very good dentist! He takes a conservative approach, trying wherever prudent and possible to preserve as much tooth structure as possible. He's never trying to find the most expensive treatment to recommend, but truly keeps the patient's best interests as his own. And he's a top notch dentist with far more expertise than can be found in many offices! His staff is equally friendly and always kind. It's the kind of dentist office that you're always hoping to find but so often seems elusive.

Never had such a good visit to the dentist, except for the last time that I visited Dr Eackers office as well. The whole experience here is so enjoyable, they treat you like you’re family and make sure you’re happy and content with everything. The quality of work they do on my teeth is impeccable. Plus the whole staff is pretty sweet and awesome. This is how every dentist experience should be! Best day ever!

Dr. Eaker and his entire staff are great. I was scared to death of going to the dentist for decades after a bad dental experience as a child. Thanks to Dr. Eaker, and everyone else in the office, from the minute I walk in the door till they are done with the procedure is now anxiety free. In fact, I find watching the wild birds at the feeders right outside the window that is in front of the chair to be relaxing. Thank you to everyone there.

I have never met a more honorable person. He cares and considers patients future needs. He makes good balanced judgements and is extremely intelligent and kind.
I have been a customer since around 1987 so I knew him when he was a kid [young dentist].
He has been (and I assume will be) keen with keeping up with the latest dental technology. The world needs more people like Dr. Eaker.
If you work in RTP, Chapel Hill, Durham, Morrisville it is quick to get there and back to work.

I've been a patient of Dr. Eaker for well over a decade, and I highly recommend him and his staff. The entire team is friendly and professional, and I feel confident that they are up-to-date with the latest technology and always have my health in mind.
