One of our founding attorneys, John F. Reha, is known as Mr. Noncompete in the Colorado legal community. In addition to his extensive commercial litigation experience, John created the leading professional education course for other Colorado lawyers in trade secrecy, noncompete agreements and unfair competition.
John, with David J. Caras of the firm, was lead counsel in Optimus Corp. v. Synergetics Inc., Colorado Court of Appeals No. 12CA1910. The case may represent the largest compensatory damages award in Colorado history for competitor interference with a noncompete. The punitive damages award is likely the largest unfair compensation punitive damages award in Colorado history.
